Re: Evaluating MainType 7 before upgrading and how to install?
Thanks. I may just test 7 on a different computer. So then if I decide to upgrade my main computer, will a licensed 7 install over 6? Or will I have to set everything up again?

Evaluating MainType 7 before upgrading and how to install?
Hello, I purchased MT6 Pro earlier this year and now I see a version 7 is out. Can I install 7 without losing my layout, tags, groups, etc.? Will I still have access to more than 10,000 fonts? Basically, I would like to know the proper procedure for installing the new version so I can test it before...

Re: Does anyone know which system font is missing?
It gets weirder... the glyphs came back! Yesterday I shut down MainType and FontService. I copied all the Segoe fonts into the font folder, then restarted font service and maintype. No change to calculator. This afternoon I noticed the calculator glyphs are back. I didn't restart my computer or anyt...

Re: Does anyone know which system font is missing?
Segoe MDL2 Assets is installed, and every other version of Segoe as compared to my other computer. So weird!
Would prefer not to do System restore because it's been months. Maybe the system file checker repair will work. I will try it later.

Does anyone know which system font is missing?
This is a screen shot of my Windows 10 calculator app. The red squares mark where certain glyphs are not showing. This started when I was evaluating several font managers before I settled on MainType. I just don't know which font is the missing one to get things back to normal. Does anyone know? 201...

Windows Font Cache Service and MainType
Hello, I have been having a problem on my Windows 10 system for a while that I just managed to track down today. I'm not sure it has anything to do with MainType, but I think it could be connected because the problem began about the time I installed MT. The problem was that certain taskbar items wer...

Re: Stuck at Loading... how to bail out?
The font folder dialog would open but just sit there with a green bar and nothing I could do in it. Anyway, I ended up leaving it alone while I did other work and it eventually woke up. It was a folder with almost 3000 subfolders. Most of those fonts would have already been added to MT, and I just w...

Stuck at Loading... how to bail out?
I've added a folder to MainType and now it is stuck with the "Loading..." animation in the middle of the screen and the processing progress thingy down in the lower right hand corner but it is saying it's going to take DAYS processing. What is the proper procedure to bail out of this? If I...

Re: Looking for InDesign plugin
They are on the to-do list, but it seems not many people are in need of these, so we're not sure if and when we will add those. If others read this post and want specific plug-ins (or have other feature requests), do let us know! I have registered for the forum just to respond to this. How do you k...
