Re: Installed fonts from Microsoft Store are red dot marked - SOLVED

A red dot means the font is loaded by an external application and MainType cannot determine where it is located. The font cannot be unloaded through MainType. Unload it through the external application and if you are not able to do this, you could try a reboot. Hi Erwin, thanks for answering. Thoug...

Re: Installed fonts from Microsoft Store are red dot marked

If you upgrade to MainType 9.0 that should solve this problem if I have understand the replies in the linked thread correctly. Hi Bhikkhu, I solved the issue with upgrading to 9.0, but now when trying to install a new font "Dephiana" I get a similar problem again. When trying to activate the font I...

Variable Fonts

Hi, I have asked if you are going to implement "Variable Font" managing earlier. Now it's coming fast on the web. I know it's a big step, but it's good to know if I shall wait for it... or looking for another tool to handle just variable fonts? Look at this link: https://www.creativebloq.com/feature...

Have generated some woff2 fonts now and works as a charm, I like the way you solved it. Make sense to me.
Thanks Erwin and staff.

Hi. I'm a little curious. When I use Google Fonts I download and make web fonts, then I use them as @fontface fonts. What will be the benefit of having Google Fonts linked to "MainType"?

Re: WOFF 2.0 support

I understand your point, but I still think it will be confusing for people who try to export woff, and can then exclude woff within that very same dialog. People who only need ttf/otf can use this per font: export-ttf-otf.png For people who want to export all opened fonts, your solution to delete w...

Re: WOFF 2.0 support

Why would anyone want a WOFF version of single-stroke fonts with open contours? The drop list could be used instead for selecting the WOFF version. Export Options.png None would not export any WOFF versions, only TrueType/OpenType with Export All Version 1 would export WOFF version 1 Version 2 woul...

Re: Add glyphs with special characters and signs

Which 10 glyphs were missing? You can edit the transform script to add them, and save it as a new script or overwrite the Eastern Europe Script if you wish. Then for all future fonts that you create you won't have to add them manually. Thanks for the tip Bhikkhu. I will see if there be more issues ...
