I hope there has been some follow up on this. I think it is a great opportunity.

COVID. Sad ... she went on-line (actually, we did the course together, on-line) and doing a hands-on font project was not in the cards ...
Now the school is less than half the size and shrinking ...

Font Naming and Browser Support

I've stumbled on an annoying issue relating to how fonts are named. Best described by an example (using my actual situation): In Google Chrome 84.0.4147.89 on Win10x64, in the selection of the Standard Font (and maybe others), having fonts named "Kurinto Text" and also "Kurinto Text A...

Re: Convection: Legality of using this Microsoft policy in printing

I think Bhikkhu was referring to looking inside the font file itself. In Font Creator, you can open the font file and look in [Font => Properties] on the [Legal] tab. The Copyright and License Description fields can give you (possibly definitive) information. However, for many fonts out there, these...

Kurinto

I’ve just released an initial public version of www.Kurinto.com. … greatly helped by Font Creator, and the fantastic support and response time of High-Logic. Thoughts, ideas, and feedback welcome (there is also a GitHub repository for reporting and discussing issues). KurintoSpecimenFolio_Square_025...

[FIXED] Setting for deprecated head.fontDirectionHint

I think this is an ultra-low priority issue ...

It looks like FC is exporting fonts with head.fontDirectionHint set to 1.
The spec says this field is ... "Deprecated (Set to 2)".

Re: "... cannot be identified as a font file"

AMAZING responsiveness! Thank you so much ... I can now open the offending font with no issues.

I have since noticed some irregularities in the naming of that font (having to do with WWS Family) ... wondering if that was causing the issue ...

[FIXED] "... cannot be identified as a font file"

I am getting "<Font file> ... cannot be identified as a font file" when I open one font in FC Pro 13.0.0.2678 on Win10x64. Annotation 2020-07-21 152900.png The font opens in Windows Font Viewer, Installs without issue, and I can use the font in Microsoft Word. Not quite sure what to do nex...

[CLOSED] Typographic Family value not being output to TTF

If I set: >> Font Properties => Extended => Typographic Family to a value, the output .TTF file does not have that value in Name Table ID 16. This may happen because: >> Font Properties => Extended => Typographic Subfamily is blank. Or maybe because Typographic Family matches the setting in: >> Font...

[FIXED] Position Glyph Transformer - not positioning correctly

It seems like the Position Glyph Transformer is not positioning glyphs correctly on 4 of the nine grid points. Here is what I have observed: OK NO OK NO OK NO OK NO OK The four NO points produce mis-placed outlines. The two NO entries in the middle column (i.e. horizontally aligned to the center of ...

Works great! Tried out-of-order lists, mixed hex and decimal, and mix of commas and spaces.

Works perfectly in all the cases I could think of to test.

.. and I didn't even need the Show Error extension after all!

Re: Exception in Glyph Transformer with '.' rather than ','

So maybe a group of typographers declaring publicly that they need new glasses is not the greatest form of marketing ... Interesting behavior on 13.0.0.2663. In the Override Range by Code Point(s) glyph transformation: if I have "$1234-$4567. $89" (a dot following a code point range)...
