Re: Colorized/Transparency View feature request
Hi Erwin, I've looked into the new feature. Honestly, it isn't exactly what I wanted/thought would be helpful. "Apply Everywhere" should be accompanied by "Apply Selected". When "stacking" two glyphs over each other I can assign, e.g. 20% transparency to the "backg...

Re: Contour/Point correction in variable fonts
Aah, o.k. I've tried the wizard and it worked. BTW it would be helpful if you could add context help popups there.

Re: Contour/Point correction in variable fonts
Mmhh, I must be doing something wrong because it seems not to work as expected: screenshot_20210707_133220.png I push the button: screenshot_20210707_133238.png Then I'm trying to correct the contour: screenshot_20210707_133255.png Now the Light and Black has problems: screenshot_20210707_133337.png...

Re: Contour/Point correction in variable fonts
Hi Erwin,
Ulrich
I'm sorry but I can't find where to check this button. Where is it?Erwin Denissen wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 3:53 pm Make sure the Edit Across Layers toolbar button is down/checked. Then you can select contours in one layer and change its direction which will be applied to all layers.

Re: Glyph editing/selecting
Thank you very much. I will check this. I'd tested this with an exported version of a FontLab file which actually had TT outlines instead of Postscript CFF outlines.

Re: Variable font display order
That's great, thank you.
BTW is there a trick so that while displaying all instances that they fit all into the window? Maybe a "Fit in window" option in the zoom dropdown menu?

Re: Glyph editing/selecting
Thank you both! But I would like to see both the coordinates of the node together with the coordinates of its handles. Say, I have a node where both handles should have the same y value and both should have the same distance with respect to the node, e.g. ±30. If I could select a node and in the pos...

Contour/Point correction in variable fonts
It would be great if FC could automatically correct all instances in one go (something like a "synchronize" checkbox). While I'm correcting in one instance, say the regular version, e.g. a curve direction or, when deleting a node not needed. Of course, this is useful only if all instances ...

Colorized/Transparency View feature request
Hi, I've already written this in the beta forum. But because it is important for me I will repeat it here as a feature request ;-) In the preview panel (and maybe in the font overview and/or the OpenType Designer too) it would be nice if I could colorize or change the transparency of some glyphs. Th...

Glyph editing/selecting
Hi, I'm a new user to FC14 (I most of the time have used FontLab and Glyphs). I have two questions that are probably easy to answer: How do I switch, e.g., in the glyphs window after zooming in to an editing tool to select nodes and handles? Is there a way to show the connection between nodes and ha...

Detailed font info in output
I would like to see a more detailed information page in the output (File>Print Preview...>"Print What" Font information). It should contain information from the Information Panel like "General", "Metrics", and especially "OpenType Features" but also OS the fil...
