Is there a way that can be used to make features designed for other language scripts work in custom script?

I'm just trying to find a way that those features designed for other language scripts can be used in DFLT or custom languages not only just in the preview box but also can be used in real test. For example, script CTOS { //this is a custom name, also you can choose DFLT, latn, etc. feature InitialFo...

Try selecting the Arabic language from the first dropdown on the Preview Toolbar
Just like what I've mentioned above it only works in the preview instead of Test Font... And the preview didn't even work if you choose a DFLT language script in OpenType Designer

These features are for Arabic scripts.

See Microsoft Typographcy Initial Forms and Medial Forms
I do know that they're for Araboc scripts... I mean is that any of those features only functions to its language script.

Re: How to Add Latin Glyphs?

Here's my way to add a character set... more like a stupid way, I guess?

Insert -> Characters...

For example if you wanna add Latin Extended-A, double-click the first character and its last character and you'll see it shows "$0100,$0170" in Code Point bar. Then replace , to -.

Why it doesn't work while testing font with other features like init in dflt or latn script

For example here I used two Arabic character features named medi and init while I'm using latn script. script latn { feature InitialForms1; feature MedialForms1; } feature InitialForms1 init { lookup SingleSubstitution1; } feature MedialForms1 medi { lookup SingleSubstitution2; } lookup SingleSubsti...

[SOLVED] Why the sizes of the charactors are different from the cursor?

I was editing my font and the size were normal at first while testing... But I have no idea how their sizes are smaller than the cursor - which shows the size I set above... Here is the screenshot of this problem: <IMAGE UNAVAILABLE> Of course at here I temporarily used number glyphs from Segoe UI, ...

Thank you. And can I ask one more question?

Why all settings worked in OpenType Designer, but some of them didn't work while testing?

How to change "ab" to "cd", while "a" won't change to "c" with any letters but "b" behind it in OpenType Designer?

If the topic can't be shown I'll say it here again.
How to set up OpenType Designer to change "ab" to "cd", while "a" won't change to "c" with any letters but "b" behind it, and "b" won't change to "d" with any letters but "a" in front of it?
Thousand thanks!

Which word-processor or publishing application do you use that supports OpenType features? If you have nothing else, LibreOffice can be used, but enabling OpenType features is far from intuitive.
OK I downloaded it and then...?

You would need to select "Test Font 2333333337282 in the application that you are testing the font in and enable the subscript OpenType feature, while leaving the Font Test window open.
Where to enable it? Can I have more details?

Need some help of tesing font after character subtitution

Like, I set 1 to 23 in this page,

But when I select Test font or export to a ttf font directly, it shows up like this.

What I should do to apply those edits to the font?
