Thanks for you answer, Erwin.
I think I didn't fully explain....
What I mean, is, does FontCreater itself have a maximum that it will display? If I make them higher than 2000, they get chopped off at the top in the viewer panel (where all the characters are together)
Thanks.

Maximum height for font
Hi. I've looked in the help file and googled with no answer :-( I know I'm really new to font design, but I thought I'd be able to find the answer to what I feel I feel is a fairly simple question. Is there a maximum height for a font character? I've made one with a cap-height (in fact all the heigh...

Is it possible - different heights for glyphs?
Hi. I am a hopeless beginner with no font training or experience, so I do apologise for my lack of knowledge. I've searched as much as I can to avoid bothering everyone with inane questions, but I can't find a definitive answer to my problem. I am making a set of dignbats to make vertical and horizo...

Re: Glyphs empty suddenly (although still there)
No. If I double click on them and go in to edit each individual glyph, the glyphs I've designed are there. They just aren't showing upon the main font page.

Glyphs empty suddenly (although still there)
Hi. Sorry to bother everyone again, but this is really weird and I can't find anything on Google about it. I've been working on a font and when I returned to it a lot of the glyphs weren't showing up on the main page. They are still there if I go into the glyph editor, but they aren't visible before...

Re: I want each line of text to touch (vertically)
Righto. I was hoping to have it happen without having to change the vertical spacing manually, but I can at least do that.
Thanks so much for your help.

Re: I want each line of text to touch (vertically)
Ok. So the problem seems to be in Publisher. I tried it in a oldish version of Illustrator and it worked just like it did in FontCreator. Thank you. Thanks for the 'newline' thing, by the way - I didn't know how to test a multiline set of characters. Any idea why there are vertical gaps between each...

Re: I want each line of text to touch (vertically)
Hi Erwin. Thank you for your quick reply. In the screenshot I've sent you, there is a corner in the middle of the first box. I want that to be a space instead - I want the characters betwen the left hand upright and the middle upright to be empty, and the only way I can think of doing that is to hav...

I want each line of text to touch (vertically)
Hi. Total newbie here. I've done a bit of googling and looking through the forum but can't find what I'm looking for - probably because I don't know the correct terminology. I have 2 questions. 1. I am making a font that will create different sized frames, so a top corner of a box, and directly unde...
