Re: Hide font from Windows ...?
Thanks for your reply Erwin. Just to clarify, we wish to install a font back onto user's machines so that old documents continue to display correctly (we removed the font and now wish to reinstall it). Can we amend this font using FontCreator and perhaps change a property or check a tickbox which ha...

Hide font from Windows ...?
Is it possible to prevent the name of an installed font from appearing in the font name drop-down menu in Word ... so the font's installed but users cannot easily use it?
Thank you
Thank you

Thinning out glyphs
Hello, I am converting a JPG image of a new brand name into a font and all's fine ... but is there an easy way to make all letters generally thinner/smaller in appearance? I've tried reducing the Scale but this makes each character slightly smaller and keeps it to scale (as expected!) - whereas I'm ...

Re: Space bar glyph/character
Thanks for the advice - have sorted it now - looking good!
It certainly does appear to use the U+00B7 MIDDLE DOT glyph (PostScript name "periodcentered").
Thanks again for your help

Space bar glyph/character
Question: How do I make the space character in my font contain a glyph but only display that character on screen in MS Word 2003 when 'Show/Hide' is switched on? Background: Microsoft Word can display on screen non-printable characters such as a space (a dot vertically in the centre of the line), a...

Re: Font character 'disappears' after hitting 'return'
Can you tell me more about symbol fonts please (or where I can read up on them) as all our glyphs are symbols/logos.
We have no characters like in a 'normal' font for typing!
Thank you

Re: Font character 'disappears' after hitting 'return'
I just switched off AutoCorrect - capitalize first letter of sentences and now it works fine
Thank you very much for your swift reply
I'll add the same glyph to both the “t” with “T” character mappings - it's not a conventional A to Z alphabet true type font so this should work for us

Font character 'disappears' after hitting 'return'
Hello, I am using Font Creator 5.6 on Windows XP SP-3 and running MS Office 2003 SP-3. In our bespoke font we have glyphs for the characters 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (on the top of the keyboard) which map to $0031, $0032, $0033, $0034 and $0035 - these work fine :-) I've created a new glyph for the charac...

Hi, I want to take the font Arial, re-name it and modify several of the characters by simply replacing the Arial Upper Case values with the equivalent Lower Case values. The intention is to embed the re-named font in our Word documents (which will be distributed to our Clients) so that we can contro...
