Re: What feature do you want to see in the next release?
Erwin, I made a smartfont using your program. I beleive it is world's first orthographic font. It has over 400 ligatures making a complex script. It can be viewed inside Firefox 3.0. See www.LovataSinhala.com and then this page: http://www.lovatasinhala.com/dualscript.htm. Thank you for your great p...

Re: Add OpenType editor
You can test ligatures of your font in Windows if you "install files for complex scripts..." in the Languages settings in the Control Panel. After that you'll see ligatures inside Notepad, but still NOT in Word 2007. (That fix is for Windows XP. Vista's Notepad shows ligatures out-of-the-b...

What are these tables?
What do these names stand for?: TSID, TSIP, TSIS and TSIV VOLT does not have a facility to add characters, not one I could find. It does not have any help anywhere. It does allow some scripted additions that I have to research to find what they are about. I can name the characters one by one. But ea...

Adding and deleting codepoints
FC is fantastic for making a large orthographic font for a minority language. I have a serious problem, though. I am making a font that requires many glyphs (approaching 4000) in the PUA of BMP. With many trials and errors, I found that FontCreator remembers added codepoints but not very well. SCENA...

VOLT dialog
My Q: My font has multiple levels of ligatures. The text works as expected in Notepad of Windows XP SP2 (not any other versions of Windows or Macintosh). However, no other higher level programs can show the ligatures. They show the base characters. ============ Asst Manager VOLT: Unfortunately no, O...

VOLT and protection
I use MS VOLT to create the font database. Is there a way to compile the font in such a manner that the database cannot be viewed any more?
Thak you.

Ligatures work only in Notepad
I have many ligatures and they all test well. (Latin, Latin-1 code blocks)
The problem is that the ligatures work only in Notepad on Windows XP SP2 version! Not MS Word, Not Macintosh.
Any knowledge on this?
Thanks.

Feature requestS
1. Pick up the Captions of the Unicode points created inside VOLT. 2. Copy the left and right margins too when copying one entire glyph to a second blank position. 3. Have an indicator that shows the next open code point available in the Private Space. I had to calculate it every time I needed to ad...

They have bolted, I feel
The problem with Microsoft not letting in people seems to be a side effect of Outsourcing. I applied for MicrosoftVOLTuserscommunity and did not get a reply for past a week, though it said within 48 hours. The login says I have already applied and is being considered! I think that this is a work eth...
