Hi Bhikku

I also needed to get MAC versions of my fonts for a colleague to use. I got them professionally converted by a UK firm called Electronic Font Foundary at www.eff.co.uk

If you find a better (cheaper!) solution, please let me know.

Mac conversion

I've successfully created my first font and it works well on my PC. A great program! Now a colleague who operates on a Mac wants a copy of the font. I know Font Creator is PC-only, so can you suggest how I can get the font converted for him, please (I would pay a reasonable fee for the service)

My workaround is to delete all platforms and language options that I'm not using in the Platform Manager and Naming menus. Then, with Microsoft Unicode and English (American) selectd, I can enter all the font naming field and they stay when I save.

Hope it works for you!

Thanks for the reply. What you describe is what I expected but not what haapens. It seems that the problem is related to the other forum question about the font names not sticking. This in turn seems to depend on what Platform is selected and what language is set - some combinations do not stay when...

Installing a font

I'm having trouble installing a font in Windows 98. The installation process goes OK but the font appears in my applications as NewUnicodeFont although I have carefully given it a new name and subtype. I'm also confused over what Platform I should set in the Platform Manager. It would seem logical t...

Kerning

When I do a trial of my font, I don't see the kerning that I have applied manually. Is this what I should expect - will the kerning be there when I install the font?

Thanks
