Re: Edit the Classification and Foundry

I don't mean to actually edit the font; allow database entries to those fields. Since many designers do not bother adding a Classification, that becomes a useless field as it stands. The program could read the db entry instead of a blank entry from the font.

Edit the Classification and Foundry

Ability to edit the Classification and also to add custom Foundry. I have many fonts from small, single-person foundries and I need to be able to add their name to the font. Being able to set the Classification, could then use the Tags to indicate whether I purchased the font or if it was free and w...

Re: Typekit & Google?

I would also like to see Typekit and Google integration, for pretty much the same reason: sick of Suitcase, but it does have that nice feature.

Re: Can a font go bad???

Here is a link to the font:

http://www.dafont.com/retro-rock-poster.font

As I mentioned, I had downloaded it several months ago and had no problem until recently.

Thanks for any input on what might have happened...

Can a font go bad???

I'm not sure how it happened but I think a font on my system became corrupt. I have all decorative/fun fonts in a folder that is not the Windows system Font folder (I install/load them as needed with MainType...) This font has worked fine for months. However, a couple of days ago, it began to presen...

Preview vs. Font Test

I changed a mapping in an existing font so that the character designed as the 'eacute' would show up when you use the keyboard shortcut Alt + 0233, as it is in most TrueType fonts... It works in the Preview pane but not in the Test Font area where you may type sample text. Why? Any help would be app...

It does not show up anywhere. If I save it with a name I assign it, when I navigate to that folder in the Browse pane, MainType tells me that "a similar font is loaded". It will allow me to install my renamed font; and the mystery font is no longer present in the list. However, if I try to...

I have restarted, rebooted, turned the thing off and gone to do errands, pretty much everything I could think of. I have searched all of my drives, and even the network drives. I do not know what is loading this demon font!

More suggestions???

Thanks,

Lorie

Thanks for the quick reply. I removed two of the offending fonts just as you suggested. The one that is left is the one that baffles me. It is listed as a TrueType font not raster. MainType says it is "loaded" But I cannot unload or uninstall it because it has no filename. And it does not ...

No font filename?

I just downloaded MainType to try it out; it seems to be just what I have been looking for. However, I have found a curious situation: there are several fonts which show up on the Active tab as having no file name. If I look in the Windows Font folder, there IS a filename. MainType will not allow me...
