Re: Unable to kern Greek letters

I don't understand why I'm unable to kern "2B" in 2410 and yet I am able to in 2408. You can kern it in version 2410, but not if it comes right after a non-Latin character! Also in 2408 I am able to kern a class which contains Greek letters, though it doesn't kern the Greek it is able to kern the o...

Re: Unable to kern Greek letters

Erwin, In the meantime, can you make version 2409 available to me. I'd rather not have the Greek working what with the bugs in 2410, in 2409 at least I was able to kern regular latin like "2B". I have installed 2405 to see if it works, and indeed it does. So the problem it seems was introduced duri...

Re: Unable to kern Greek letters

The digit "2" is either in a run of text for Latin or for Greek, not both ;-)

Do try this text:
π2A A2π

Also test it in Firefox, and you'll see if has the same result. You're mixing text in a way which is not normal, so better avoid such text, or at least use a space between Latin and Greek text.

Re: Version string doesn't display in installed font

In this case it would be 1164 versus 975 bytes, so right now we save 189 bytes.

Re: Version string doesn't display in installed font

We've received the font files and looked into this problem. To us it looks like a bug in Windows font viewer. It is probably too strict in accepting optimized name tables. We've always optimized the name table to save some bytes, and nothing in the specs prevent us from doing this.

Re: Space Diacritics?

The marks category contains all known marks. Several are non-spacing combining marks which should have a zero advance width. You can hover over the glyphs to see a hints about this:

Re: Version string doesn't display in installed font

Custom naming fields might be the cause. Otherwise send the font file to me so I can look into this.

Windows Font Viewer always shows the installed font, not the one that you open from Windows Explorer. Make sure that you uninstall the old version before installing the new version.
I totally agree. Do reboot your computer and then try again. It will work.

Re: Unable to kern Greek letters

This is indeed an issue which needs to be addressed.

However, we have a dilemma here as the fix will now treat the combination π2 as Greek script, while you use it in your Latin script. You can overcome this by forcing to use the Latin script instead of Auto.

The fix will become available soon.
