Re: Weird thing happening with points

The outline isn't tiny, I'd say. This is the lower case x and its height is 700. I have seen the Pixels per em setting, but I never changed it. It's set to 512, but I don't know if this is alright. Is there any suggestion on how to determine an appropriate value? Then that isn't the problem, but yo...

Re: Weird thing happening with points

If the outline is tiny (e.g. only a few units in height or width), then this can happen as fonts use rounded values.

If this is happening, then it is probably best to change Pixels per em as available on the Options dialog, on the Import tab.

Re: Creating a single stroke ttf from ai files

Rhino has a TrueType font that is singlestroke for their software. So it is possible, but not what the ttf format was meant for. https://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/engravingfonts We know which software they used to make the font ;-) I'm pleased to tell you we've further improved the way you can design s...

Re: Hinting Program problems

We usually provide upcoming updates to our beta testers, but with this release we did include several rare new enhancements which we would like to be tested through a public release. We don't expect issues, so we'll probably release an official update today or tomorrow. We might decide to release it...

Re: Hinting Program problems

Do try this update as it contains a more recent version of ttfautohint, but please be aware font project files will not be backwards compatible.

Single Stroke / Single Line / CNC Font Support

This update contains support for Unicode variation sequences, last resort fonts *, and single stroke fonts **. Due to a change in the font project data, the new projects will not be backwards compatible. The update is not available from the download page yet, but can be download from here: FontCreat...

Re: Which is a suitable script

What is represented by the two variables in Bold, in your case "Bold (50, 0)". I can't locate in the documentation what the two variables represent. They are Horizontal and Vertical values. See: ScriptCondensed2.png I've attached an updated script file. Here is how it transformed Roboto Bold to Rob...

Re: Which is a suitable script

A script that turns a regular font into a condensed font is the following:

Scale (50, 100)
Bold (50, 0)

You might need to do some tests before you decide what exact numbers work best for your font. After running it you need to change the Width from medium to Condensed.

Either provide a descriptive name that matches the specific alternates, or delete it.

Re: Name Table Structure error

Maybe it is because StylisticSet 1 has an empty descriptive name.

Can you look into this?

Re: Put Backups on a Network Drive

The current architecture of our font management solution doesn't allow this, so make the backup local, and then copy it to your network folder.

Re: WOFF 2.0 support

That is true, but not the same. SVG fonts are obsolete; all modern web browsers support WOFF. One of the three color formats uses SVG, and that is not obsolete, but we don't support it yet. FontCreator supports the other scalable color font format as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watc...
