MainType 2.1.1 & Blue Screen Of Death [Solved]
Hi Guys,
MainType crashed my system about 3 times over the last few weeks, previous to that was about a month ago. Seems very random.
I have just the basic windows core fonts installed + some others, vista 64-bit, SP1 + latest updates.
any ideas what's causing the blue screens?

Re: Font versions
Hi Bhikkhu, I've added it to my suggestions list Here for the moment the fastest way for me to check and delete is via windows explorer http://s5.tinypic.com/s1t282.jpg So I can select the older ones based on version and discard them. I wish this feature was at least in Font Organizer (if it fails t...

Re: Jasons General Requests/Enhancements
11. Delete old font versions This is something that I've spent quite some time in sorting out manually. It would be nice to see this feature added to the context menu when right-clicking on a font folder in " Browse ". or for MainType to auto detect multiple versions and give a user inter...

Font versions
Hi guys, is there any font organizing program that can check the font files for the latest versions? eg: v1.014 compared to v1.086 compared to v2.000 so that the program keeps the font based on the higher version number and deletes the lesser ones. similar to adding a "file version" column...

Re: General Requests/Enhancements
8. Adding font families as a group Right-click on font 'family' folder in "Browse" gives you options to add that Family to a group. ie: the "Helvetica" ("family" folder) could be added to the group "Sans Serif". Quick and simple. At the moment, I have to go i...

A program to organize by Foundry?
I've seen one or two posts here referring to "Font Organizer" by Al Jones, but I can't get it anywhere. anyone know another good program that can do this? (vista x64 compatible) I don't have a hugh collection like most (I think a couple thousand, tops!) But I would really like to organize ...

uninstall font via shortcut
This doesn't happen 100% of the time but, a "real" font installed from within a group folder can not be uninstalled from a "shortcut" of the same font in another group (happened twice in last 3 hours) I may have rebooted inbetween sessions. but the fonts were installed not loaded...

Re: Pseudo Groups - are these possible?
Hmmmm...I know about the groups, but they create real folders for real fonts. one thing i just tried is creating a group called "_project fonts" and then go to a chosen font in the normal location, right-click a chosen font and select "add to group", then choose "shortcut&qu...

Jasons General Requests/Enhancements
These are a few things I would love to see in the next release of MainType. I realise that they are not simple additions, but would love to see them in this great program (I've demoed everything else thats available for windows, but MainType was the one worth choosing IMHO) (I'll add to this list at...

Pseudo Groups - are these possible?
Ok, there are 'groups', these are hard linked as folders (correct me if I'm wrong). The way I personally like to structure my fonts are to have main groups such as; Sans, Serif, Retro, Script, etc. with various folders per font family in each. But is there a way to make pseudo groups so that I can (...
