The problem was the Preview Pane in Windows Explorer. The Preview was loading the font. When I turned off the Preview Pane the test fonts deleted normally.

Invalid Characters
I am just getting started with FontCreator 14. I have loaded a .ttf font I made in 2004 with FontCreator 4.2.4 that has 47 glyphs. FontCreator 14 shows the message "Invalid Characters" but I can't find an explanation why the glyphs are invalid. I attached a picture showing the message I am...

Upgrade question: V4.5 to V5.6
I have FontCreattor 4.5. I am interested in upgrading. I don't see that my V4.5 had a professional or home version but some of the feature my version has are listed in the professional program list. What are the major changes between V4.5 and version 5.6?

Re: glyph TTF no longer displays after resaving in V4.5
I may have found the solution to this on my own. I find that after I change the glyph font file in V4.5 I need to restart my Vista computer to have the changes take effect. This seems to have solved the problem.

I am usi...

Help With Mapping Values in V4.5 on Vista
Using FontCreator version 4.2.4 Build 170.49 on a Windows XP computer I created a TTF font of glyphs with the settings "Microsoft Symbols" and "Segment Mapping to Delta Values". Below is an example of the fourth item in the dialog box "Character To Glyph Index Mapping" ...
