If you have access to PhotoShop, the add-in filter, 'KPT5 Smoothie' does a good job.

This isn't really directly concerned with Font Creator but I've joined VOLT, looked at the documents and can't find anything as simple as just the conversion of a TT font to Open Type.

Path directions
The Help files states that oulines should be drawn clockwise and inner, clear areas, counter-clockwise. However, other documents I've read state that the opposite directions must be used for PS fonts and that it doesn't matter for TT. I've tried it both ways and it doesn't seem to matter for TT font...

This is a partial solution to the problem of providing guide lines for diagonals. Select a Glyph that you're not going to use and draw one or more thin, diagonal contours.
