Yes I have seen that.
It hasn't resolved the issue.

Re: Spacing between lines
Yes I do agree that part of the issue is due to Excel, and also the printer driver ... but please advise as best as you can.

Re: Spacing between lines
Thanks for responding.
Can you please list all the user-inputs in FontCreator which may affect the vertical spacing.
I've spent hours trying to get to the bottom of it.
Please advise as best as you can, as this is important.

Spacing between lines
I've created a font for Excel.
The row heights in Excel are automatically adjusted.
If I have a merged cell with 10 lines, I expect there to be a match with 10 individual lines as shown.
But there is no match.
What am I missing?

TTFautohint - settings
I'm using TTFautohint to hint my characters.
I have a line which is right on the edge of the space (at Win Ascent).
When I hint the font file, in some characters it shows and in others it doesn't.
Do you know which setting in TTFautohint I have to adjust to make it so that I can see everything.

Re: Row height in Excel - relationship with data in Metrics
Actually, now on another file, the "Contents and Layout version" doesn't make a difference.

Re: Row height in Excel - relationship with data in Metrics
Thanks for responding. There was a difference in the row height, it was reduced ... BUT the font properties were lost though, they don't look the same as created. And when you go back to the original version, it's not the same as before, ie row height is smaller and font looks different. What is thi...

Row height in Excel - relationship with data in Metrics
I'm trying to adjust the settings in Metrics so that the glyph heights are smaller, and this would then effect the row height in Excel. Basically, if you reduce the following values, then the row height in Excel generally changes, generally being the keyword. "Typo Ascender - Typo Descender&quo...

Re: Private Use Characters - as viewed in Microsoft Excel
Perhaps if you open Excel, insert a Private Use Character and see what it looks like in the formula bar.
The formula bar is shown in attached image.
As a guess, it may look like a square/rectangle character.
My question relates to how I can change this default font.

Private Use Characters - as viewed in Microsoft Excel
I have created some Private Use Characters. When viewed on the Microsoft Excel formula bar, it's as shown in the attached image. I don't know whether this relates to FontCreator or the computer itself. The characters are an Asian font, maybe because the computer is from there. Is there a way to chan...

Re: Font metrics - with respect to Row Height in Excel
OK thanks for sending the link, it is informative, unfortunately not specific enough with respect to Excel.
I guess that's all you can do.
Cheers.
