Thanks for responses.
Different in the whole sense I suppose, which would take time to learn.

Re: Install FontCreator - Windows 10
I've had a look at the new version and it looks completely different to the older one I'm using.
Yes I agree that the pricing is affordable relative to other software, but I know how to operate the earlier version.
Please advise where else I can solve my problem.

Re: Install FontCreator - Windows 10
Thanks for responding. I tried installing and running with compatibility mode, still have issue. It appears that older programs can be run though. It looks like it's installed. There is a folder in Program Files (x86). But nothing in Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs. The error message is: An int...

Install FontCreator - Windows 10
Hi, I have a version 6.something which I tried to install on Windows 10.
It installed, but there was an error message when running. Can't remember what this was, but how could it be resolved.

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
Thanks, I did try changing the ascenders and descenders to 4000 and -3000 respectively ... but still no luck, and row heights are much too high as well. The funny thing is that I can get "Normal" and "Normal+Subscript" to match by experimenting. But never got "Normal" a...

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
Thanks for explaining. By changing parameters the row height does change in Excel. So it must refer to the information in the font file. Could you please elaborate further on "The problem seems to be that Excel does not use them correctly, if at all.". The "if at all" part is inc...

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
Hi, yes thanks I have asked but it's a grey area and I just need some assistance of some sort. I can't find anything specific in the documentation to assist. I understand it's a unique situation. If you had to design a font with equal "height" for Normal, Subscript, Superscript, where woul...

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
Hi, can you please assist with this as I am trying everything at the moment.
I changed for example the "Superscript y offset" to 0 and still the row height is larger.
Please help or at least enquire.

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
Hi, thanks but I'm aware of this. I need to know more about how the net height is determined from the settings in the font. I now know that it's not an exact science and that different results will occur in different applications or screen resolution or otherwise. If you can give me suggestions that...

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
OK thanks but my issue has to do with Excel though. I understand that there are a lot of variables the relationship of fonts may vary with application as well, but if you can please look into which settings I need to change to achieve as described in the original post. I've tried a lot of settings b...

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
Hi, I've tried several combinations of the above settings and can't get the row heights the same.
You mention Serif Page Plus can do this. Is this a font or software?
How can it be done?

Re: Height of font changes with Subscript & Superscript
OK thanks.
I presume it's the Typo Ascender, Typo Descender and Typo Linegap.
I'll vary these when I get a chance and see how it goes.
Thanks.
