Re: Batch tagging of glyphs

Please see the Tip of the Day on Tagging Multiple Glyphs Thank you! That works perfectly. I did look at the Glyph Transformer to see if it could be done there, but I did not understand what "Override Range by Glyph Name(s)" and "Override Range by Code-point(s)" do, and there is no information in th...

Batch tagging of glyphs

Tags are a very useful feature for me, but sometimes in a large font with thousands of glyphs I want to tag dozens or hundreds of non-contiguous glyphs, and it is very time-consuming to manually find, click and tag all the required glyphs. It would be really useful if I could right-click on one of t...

We could add a transform feature that adds all contours from one glyph to all selected glyphs. This obviously will only work for simple glyphs.
That would be the perfect solution for me.

Re: Add paste feature to Glyph Transformer

Right now it is not possible, but you can add glyphs with formulas, even within the glyph transformer: agrave=a+gravecomb adotbelow=a+dotbelowcomb Would that be of use? I could not get that to work in the glyph transformer. Can you give more detailed instructions? For what I think the original post...

Add paste feature to Glyph Transformer

Quite often I want to paste the same contour into multiple glyphs, and when (like this morning) I need to paste the same contour into several thousand glyphs it is not practical to do it manually. Is there already a way to do this? If not, please could you add a feature to the Glyph Transformer wiza...

Re: BASE Table

It is high on the to-do list, so it is likely it will be included soon. Hi Erwin, Just checking when you expect the base table to be supported in FontCreator. I have had another request for my Tibetan font to include baseline metrics, as at present Tibetan text set in my font has to be manually adj...

[CLOSED] Build 11.5.0.2430 takes much longer to export a large font to TTF than previously

Hi Erwin, I've noticed that since updating to Build 11.5.0.2430, it takes considerably longer to export a very large font than previously. My large CJK font with over 50,000 glyphs used to take about 3-4 minutes to export to TTF, but with the new build it now takes 10-11 minutes. Is there any explan...

BASE Table

Hi,

Would it be possible to support the Baseline table (BASE)? I have a Tibetan font where it would be useful to specify the baseline as "hang", as recommended by Microsoft.

Re: Format 14 cmap subtable

Is this feature necessary for implementing the use of variation sequences in explicitly choosing between a monochrome emoji glyph and a colourful emoji glyph to display? Yes, it is. Support for Unicode variation sequences is required by font developers working on emoji fonts, as well as those worki...

Re: Format 14 cmap subtable

Hi Erwin,

I tried out the test version you sent me, and it looks great. I loaded a few fonts with Unicode variation sequences for various scripts, and the dialog lists them all correctly. With the addition of import/export functionality it will be all I need.

Thanks,

Andrew

Re: Format 14 cmap subtable

Dear Erwin,

Thank you very much! Having a way to import and export the sequences in text format is all I need.

Best wishes,

Andrew

Re: 64-bit version loses code-point mappings for supra-BMP characters

The problem also occurs with the 32-bit version. I opened the ttf font file for my large Chinese font in Font Creator 32-bit (all code-point mappings are correct). Then I export the font under a new name, and when I open the new ttf font file code-point mappings for all supra-BMP characters have bee...

[FIXED] 64-bit version loses code-point mappings for supra-BMP characters

I have been using the 64-bit version of Font Creator 11.0 this evening to edit my large Chinese font, which has nearly 14,000 characters outside the BMP (i.e. greater than U+FFFF), and on two occasions after saving the project all the supra-BMP characters in the font lost their code-point mappings. ...
