Just coming back to post my workaround... I open the font in font creator and manually adjust the scaling.
It would be nice if we could hard set it in scanahand.

Question about the Scaling
We have a drawing program that mixes fonts. Apparently it draws from the top down. This causes the fonts to become very jittery as they don't have a common baseline. I scanned in 3 fonts. Font 1: WinAscent marked at 1800; x-height marked at 600 Font 2: WinAscent marked at 2400; x-height marked at 92...
