Re: How Do You Convert FontCreator Fonts into a Keyboard Lay

Why not? I already told you why not. Please, stop wasting your time and ours. Read my previous post again . Open an existing Devanagari font in FontCreator that you have installed (you must have one installed if you can see the glyphs in MSKLC. I don't because I don't have a Devanagari font install...

Re: How Do You Convert FontCreator Fonts into a Keyboard Lay

Why not? How else would you go about creating a new Keyboard Layout (like Devanagari) in the first place? I know what Bhikkhu Pesala said: You can't upload a FontCreator font into Microsoft Keyboard Layout. I understand that now. But, what I fail to understand is, how are you suppose to insert custo...

Re: How Do You Upload Customized Fonts into a KeyBoard Layou

If you're creating a Devanagari font, I suspect the easiest way is to map your characters in FontCreator to match the existing Windows Devanagari keyboard. Which version of FontCreator are you using? The Pro version has features that the Home version does not, so the solutions depend on the version...

Inserting a Diacritial Mark to Replace It With Another One.

I want to know if this is possible in Font Creator. I've seen this done in various scripts in Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator. It involves combining diacritical marks where I press a key to insert the mark on the character. But, then when I press another key a new diacritical mark replaces it on t...

Re: How Do You Upload Customized Fonts into a KeyBoard Layou

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the concept of mapping characters. I've tried looking it up on the the help section, but I'm unable to understand what they're talking about. Can you please explain me the process of mapping characters (in simple terms) so I can better understand what I have to d...

Re: How Do You Upload Customized Fonts into a KeyBoard Layou

So how do you take the fonts that I created in FontCreator and convert them into keyboards so I can upload them into MSKLC and assign my characters to different keys. This is what I've been trying to do all along. I want to be able to assign certain characters to the other modifier keys such as ctrl...

Re: How Do You Upload Customized Fonts into a KeyBoard Layou

If you can't upload customized fonts into Microsoft Key Board Layout Creator, then how come I'm able to load other fonts, like the Devanagari or Tamil script with perfect ease. All I have to do is go to File, click on Load Existing Keyboard and choose from a variety of different fonts (or scripts) t...

How Do You Upload Customized Fonts into a KeyBoard Layout.

I know this is a High Logic font forum, but this is the closest thing to a discussion board when it comes to Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator. Anyways, I've been having some difficulty trying to upload my customized fonts (that I created in High Logic Font Creator) into Microsoft Keyboard Layout Cr...

Huge Problem When Using Combining Diacritical Marks.

This topic has to do with how the fonts appears on the FontCreator test font window versus how it looks when typing my downloaded fonts on paint or Microsoft word. I'm using combining diacritical marks on my fonts (press a key to type in a character, then press another key to insert the diacritical ...

Assigning Different Characters to Addional Modifer Keys.

In FontCreator, how do you assign a character to a particular modifier key. For example, if I wanted to assign a character to shift key+Y, all I would have to do is insert a new character on the Capital "Y" cell in the Glyph overview window. Then when I press shift+Y on the test font windo...

Re: Placing Diacritical Marks on the Side of Characters.

I also have another question: is it possible to put 2 different diacritical marks on one character? For example I want to type a key and a diacritical mark appears on top of the character, then when I type another key a different diacritical mark appears on the bottom of the character.

Placing Diacritical Marks on the Side of Characters.

This topic is related to my previous post about inserting diacritical marks to characters, but I thought it would be appropriate that I start another topic anew concerning placing diacritical marks on the left and/or sides of characters. I already figured out how to create "combining diacritica...

Re: Inserting Diacritical Marks to Characters.

For my script, I'll need 21 characters with several diacritical marks. Each diacritical mark can be combined with any of the 21 characters. I want to be able to type the characters in the same way as the Devanagari script by typing the character first then typing another key which will insert the di...

Re: Inserting Diacritical Marks to Characters.

You're going to have to be really specific with the details because as I said earlier I'm new to this program so when you say "Open Times New Roman", I have no idea what you're talking about. I wish I can find a very simple tutorial on how to create combining diacritical marks like the one...
