Re: Mappings in a New FCP file

Null and nonmarkingreturn glyphs are now obsolete. You could simply delete them.

Re: Multi Coloured Glyphs

I moved your thread to the support forum. This is the tutorial on Creating Multicoloured Glyphs To Add a Colour Glyph Member Click the Add [+] button Type part of the glyph name in the filter field of the dialogue to find it quickly, or just scroll to select it. Select one of more glyphs Sort them i...

Re: License suggestions?

My Garava font, and other fonts, have no embedding restrictions. Users can embed them in PDF publications for printing or embed them on websites. What they should not do is modify the font, and then place licensing or embedding restrictions on the modified and renamed versions. Just a silly policy b...

Re: How I can horizontally resize a font?

The FixSysCTT font is (c)Copyright ParaGraph International, 1992.

Fonts can easily be scaled 150% horizontally using the Glyph Transformer.

Re: Class sorting in Open Type Designer

I use cut and paste in the Code Editor to sort classes in the order that I want. It is much quicker than using the buttons to move a class up or down in the list. There is already a button (FontCreator 11.5) to sort them by name.

It is hard to understand why you need this. Please explain.

Perhaps the Randomize Feature will be of interest to you?

Re: Glyph Names > Add PUA Unicode Values to Selected Glyphs

I did as you said now, made new character range for the Private Use Area code-points (999 of them), and copied my "unmapped" characters and special-pasted them into the new code-points but the opentype features didn't move to the new pasted glyphs, it stayed with the old ones (which is not what I n...

Re: Why can't I go beyond 512 pixels in the Preview window?

Those are points, not pixels. To me it looks like an issue with your font's metrics. In the glyph overview the displayed glyphs are tiny compared to the overview cells (compare to the incomplete © symbol), and the line-spacing in the Preview Toolbar is excessive. Some fonts like Cambria Maths requir...

Re: Open Type Designer

Did you read the tutorial on Adding OpenType Features ? Before you can add a lookup table for kerning pairs, you must add a kern feature. Before you can add a kern feature, you must add a script. If the OpenType Designer is blank, click on the Code Editor... button to add a default script and some d...

Re: Yellow Line and Preview Size

The orange line indicates that the glyph has been tagged. Press Ctrl+2 to toggle the tag off. The small size of the lowercase i is because the glyph is small compared to the maximum vertical extent of your font between WinAscent and WinDescent. Either that or you have zoomed out with Ctrl+Shift+Min...

Re: Display all fonts of a single character

I thought your post was a bit too far off-topic in the MainType thread where it was originally posted , so I moved it to where it may be discussed if anyone is interested. If I don't want a word to break, I disable hyphenation for that word by inserting a soft hyphen before the word. If the word joi...

Try reverting to the previous longer name and see if it still works.
