Re: FC11 64-bit: Rotating/mirroring/moving shapes often causes misalignments

I can reproduce the problem, but it is just a matter of trying again to get it to snap correctly.

Erwin seems to busy doing other things as there are several unanswered topics.

Re: Font Characters and Equations in MS Word

I don't have Word so cannot test this.

Did you solve the issue?

Re: Share font tags

There is no way of exporting font tags that I know of.

I doubt if the ability to share tags with other users would be of much use. The way that people groups and tag their fonts is personal to their own needs and font collection.

Re: Syncing/sharing groups

I cannot think of any method that would be more efficient. You can backup and restore the database, but I suspect that that would take much longer. It might be OK for once a month to make sure your team are in sync and backing up your database is something that is recommended in any case, but for da...

I was not able to reproduce this.

A font project with the shapes would probably help.

Re: Complete Composites

I have updated CompositeData.xml for Unicode 10.00 with a couple of new definitions. A symbol for Bitcoin has been added to currency symbols. Complete Composites will compose it from Capital B and Vertical Line |. Some minor adjustments may be needed. Bitcoin.png Please start a new thread in the sup...

Re: Customising Unicode Data

Updated the attachment UnicodeData.zip to the earlier post for Unicode 10.0.

To restore Unicode Blocks that you need, exit FontCreator, edit Blocks.txt and delete the # comment code before any lines for blocks that you need.

I fixed the broken link in my earlier reply.

Erwin replied to that thread, stating the reasons why it did not make it into MainType yet.

Re: Auto assign font tags

You can try the Free Version to see what it can do before purchasing the license that you would need to manage a large library of fonts.

There is currently no way to sort fonts by PANOSE information, but several ways of filtering fonts by style, weight, etc.

Re: Modifying glyph names

You might find it easier if you select some glyphs first, but I agree that showing the glyphs to be edited in a column on the Glyph Edit dialogue would be helpful.

If you tell us what your specific needs are, it may help us to find a workaround.

Re: Glyphs List Select Button from Codepoint(s), implement please

If characters already exist in a font you cannot add them using the Insert Character dialogue, so it is not clear what you are trying to achieve.

If the aim is to select a number of characters to add to another font, you can simply use copy and paste.

Re: Balava OpenType - A Transitional Typeface

Version 1.70 replaced Romanian localised forms with a Stylistic Set. Irony punctuation reversed question mark is a Standard Ligature substitution for ??, while Interrobang replaces ?! and inverse interrobang replaces ¿¡. Super/subscript glyphs (×÷) and thin space were added for use with fractions. K...

Re: How can a font collector identify supported OpenType features?

The TrueType Viewer can view and test features (you need the download with the qt-mt230nc.dll), but it's dated and can only view one font at a time.

It would be a great feature to add to MainType.

Re: The jè mark, a Dutch "typographic shrug"

Do we really need this‽

If anyone wants a different design, just use the existing code-point for interrobang or reversed question mark. I don't think it will catch on. It's a long hard route to Unicode approval, and without that, it's dead in the water.
