Re: playing card font

Yes, creating A-Z and a-z as composites of the Unicode Play Card glyphs, or vice versa, will keep file size small and save time when editing. See my tip of the day for Creating Composites with Copy/Paste You could also use a Character variant OpenType feature to substitute A-z for playing cards. The...

Have you tried a different PDF Printer? No crash here with Foxit Reader. 36 pages of fonts, none of them installed.

Re: Font Creator upgrade

There were many changes to FontCreator since version 7.0. Version 11.0 was released in May 2017 and version 11.5 in February of 2018. I see no sign yet of FontCreator 12.0, though one assumes that there will be a new version sometime. Take a look at My Review Page to see what has changed over the ye...

Re: WOFF2 Files

The latest version of FontCreator 11.5 offers support for export of WOFF2 Web Open Font Format.

You can select whether or not to export that format in the Export Settings for each font.

The outer large black circle is a clockwise contour The inner white circle is an anticlockwise contour The black arrow is a clockwise contour After deleting the first outer glyph the glyph contains contours with incorrect directi...

Re: Fraction letter positioning ?

There is a way to do this, but it is not what I would call simple. I have such a feature in my fonts to create complex fractions from both text and numbers. You can download my Pali Font and open it in FontCreator to inspect the code. It takes too long to explain it all here. You will need: Superscr...

Re: New Font from pdf copy & paste

If you save each glyph as a PDF and name them in the correct alphabetical order, you can just drag them from Windows Explorer, and drop them into a blank new font, e.g. dropping them onto the A glyph in the glyph overview to fill glyphs A-Z. You will, no doubt, then have to adjust the size and posit...
