Re: Font exports with glyphs misassigned

Convert symbols fonts to Unicode from the Tools menu.

If you wish, you can set the file extension to *.ttf in the export settings dialogue, but *.otf is the default.

Re: Autometrics

There are pre-composed fractions, pnum, tnum, sups/denoms, etc., to deal with. So because FC would only logically consider the 0–9 digits, you might want to save yourself the bother as that would mean that the two choices are perfectly logical for them. I wonder why you need optical metrics to calc...

Re: Wrong font on incoming mail

You could probably work it out by searching the source code of the email.

It's probably one of the more common Sans Serif fonts like Arial, Helvetica Neue, or Verdana.

Re: True cursive font : need pieces of advice

As for the substitution table : where do you create it ? It's not easy to explain. I suggest taking a look at the OpenType script in my Odana font. script latn { feature StylisticAlternates; } class @Chaining_Uppercase [A-Z]; class @Chaining_Uppercase_Salt [A.salt-Z.salt]; class @Chaining_Latin_All...

Re: Site malfunction?

I usually save and upload linked images in forum posts now to avoid this problem. In the process I often reduce the file size too to reduce bandwidth use and speed up the loading of threads.

Re: True cursive font : need pieces of advice

Stylistic Alternates ( salt ) are not enabled by default and are applied by the user when wanted. I use this feature for decorative ...

No problem, just saying that it is not something that FontCreator should be used to fix.

Re: True cursive font : need pieces of advice

You seem to be doing just fine. The only obvious problem is that the line-spacing is too tight.

Open Font Properties, Metrics, and let FontCreator calculate the metrics for you to optimise the line-spacing to prevent clashes between ascenders and descenders.

Re: Almost equal to

It's not actually a question about FontCreator, but about using Word or other applications. Insert a Symbol or Special Character in Word BabelMap is a better alternative to the Windows Character Map, which can be used to insert symbols and special characters into any Windows Application. Babel Map.p...
