Re: Complete Composites uses uppercase I instead of dotless i

Now that you have thinned down the font, deleting the glyphs in the PUA, the complete composite feature works fine on your font. Adjust the positions of the diacritics was simple. No Errors.png I attach the OTF rather than the FontCreator Project File since you are apparently using an older version ...

Re: Complete Composites uses uppercase I instead of dotless i

The XML file is from 2016. Are you using FontCreator 9.0? <!-- Updated 23rd June 2016 for Unicode 9.0 --> Nevertheless, it should work fine. This is the relevant code from the XML file for lowercase i grave and acute: <Composite><!-- i grave --> <GlyphMapping>236</GlyphMapping> <Member id="1"> <Glyp...

Re: Database cleanup tool?

Since I have only about 5,000 fonts in my library, if I want to clean up my database I just uninstall MainType removing all data and then reinstall. It does not take many minutes, and regenerating groups from my folders is automatic.

Re: Pair adjustment ignored or generating error

I maintain a lookup table just for testing purposes. I run the Autokern on the small list of pairs, then copy and paste the results to the main lookup table that is actually used. The lookup table can contain any combination of kerning pairs using classes and/or glyphs. However, I nearly always use ...

Click and drag on the fourth point to create the curve between the third and fourth points. In CFF Postscript mode there will be two handles.

Re: Trouble downloading

What happens when you click on the download link depends on your Internet Browser. In my Vivaldi browser I see this dialogue. Save Download.png When I click on Save the file is downloaded automatically to my downloads folder without any messages. That is the way I prefer it. Take a look in your down...

Version 3.31 fixed a few kerning pairs and added WOFF2 versions as well as WOFF1. Pali Kerning.gif The WOFF fonts are unhinted to minimize on file size. The OTF Web versions are hinted, but have fewer glyphs than the full OTF versions. File Sizes Pali Font Sizes.png Web Font File Sizes.png

Re: (ARABIC) Mark Positioning

I have no experience with using anchors, but I think you will need at least two anchors on the base glyph to which you wish to attach marks. One for marks below, and another for marks above.

Re: open type files not recognised by Progecad

Just change the file extension to *.ttf. That will probably be sufficient to fool Progecad. I doubt very much if it knows anything about OpenType features. You might find that kerning is ignored too unless your fonts include a legacy kern table.

Re: What do you use for "Preview Text" for Auto-Metrics?

Sorry. I was multi-tasking as usual and did not read the thread. I just use "Typography" as the Preview Text. Maybe something like ONONO onono would give you a better idea of letter-spacing. One tip worth remembering is to record the value for letter-spacing that you last used for that font in the N...

Re: "Show zoom popup when zoom panel is hidden" not working

That makes pinning or tabbing the zoom panel useless. Useless to you perhaps, but the whole point of grouping or pinning panels is to save space; as you say: The whole point that a layout with the zoom panel as part of a tab means you can use that panel space for multiple things. If you want to see...
