Re: gothic grain
Thank you for your recommendations and the time that you have taken to help me. I understand most of them and will work my way through them. I agree fully with what you have said and will send my updated version when completed. Have just looked at the kerning advice. Probably basic for you but enorm...

Re: spacing glyphs
Hi there Bhikku, Thanks for the quick response. No this is not Callitalic. I decided to have a break from it and have just recently returned to it. This font is one that I have been working on for a while, Gothic grain. I did as you said, but on the right hand side dragging the line doesn't bring th...

spacing glyphs
Hi there, My problem is that I've done something to the spacing of a glyph that results in a space behind the glyph that I can't alter. It only happens on the mac version of the font. I've tried to fix it but can't. I check the spacing for all my glyphs with a letter in front and a letter behind. I ...

finding where to put extra glyphs
I thank everyone for previous help. Now I have been trying to add 8 extra glyphs to my font. I have read many threads about the subject but still when I created an old fashioned s which I managed to put in as a third s in the correct key, I found that the small e with a ligature would not go into th...

Callitalic update
Hi there, In anticipation of help and support, I have sent an updated version of my first font. I took on board all the suggestions, which were very welcome. I changed the lower case g, which I prefer and tried to improve some of the angles of the letters. I am happy with the handwritten look of the...

font security
Sorry to appear dim...still a learner.
I want to send my font to people to test for me, but don't know if I need to make it secure and if I do, how?
Is it easy for anyone to copy and modify your font?
Thanks in anticipation.

Re: My first font
I just want to say thank you to everyone for the comments about callitalic. I welcome them as they are both supportive and useful. Although I have read the manual several times, it is difficult to take all the information in. What you have given me is specific and now I will use all the points made ...

My first font
callitalic.ttf Hi there, I have been working on creating this font from my writing for months and finally feel confident enough to share it. I have struggled a lot especially after scanning the writing, splitting it up into individual fonts and then finding that the letters don't have the same weig...
