Re: Kern type upside down
well, another improvement would be the ability to kern multiple letters by showing more than two in the kerning dialogbox

Re: Kern type upside down
Turning the typeface upside down is a good way to examine the letter shapes without the distraction of meaning The reason kerning is so easy to miss is because your eyes tend to ignore the spacing in pursuit of reading the word or sentence. After decades of reading, adults don’t see letters anymore,...

Kern type upside down
One more suggestion
What about adding a check box to turn the glyphs upside down to test the kerning

Re: New Pair Adjustment
Thank you Bhikkhu
I use groups but from time to time I do some basic letter by letter kerning tests.

New Pair Adjustment
It would be awesome to add more options to find glyphs in the "New Pair Adjustment" window. It's really annoying to scroll all the characters to find one you need, so please consider adding more option to that window. Even a sort option will be ok, based on unicode classification or a find...

Glyphs number
Hi there
Could anyone help me understand why I see different glyph numbers (see picture)?
If there are 845 unicode glyphs why I see only 822? what's with 850 characters reported?
thanks

Re: OTF File size
I don't think the range is the reason.
I did a double check with the previous large otf file and kernings that were active in that file and are in my new file also don't work anymore with my new file when used in any editing software.
Don't know how to debug this.

Re: OTF File size
Thank you Bhikkhu, it worked great :) By this technique the kerning were reduced to only 27k. I'll see if I can reduce them more but the file size of the otf it's ~200kb One more question. I see in the OT Designer 27k kerning pairs but exporting the otf file and inspecting the file it shows only ~5k...

Re: OTF File size
You're right, I didn't consider this aspect of pairing. Thank you Dou you know anywhere out there proper guidance to the most usual pair of letter to kern without missing any possible combination for any language? (google it's helpless) It's clear to me now that I have to reduce the paring only to t...
