Re: How to specify the shortcut keys for the alignment and distribution operations

It looks like it has been removed to make space for many new options. I guess we have to use the Align and Distribute Toolbar now. The function is very important and keeping it quickly use is essential and it should be added to the main menu as a sub-menu and allow keyboard completion. Adding keybo...

Re: Help changing letter K

I think the font in general could benefit from a few diagonals, however this would change the style of the font dramatically.

Re: G2 Font

Overall it is good but I don't like the lower case 'k', it looks like a 'h' that grew an ear. It looks out of place with the rest of the font. I know this is an artistic choice and it is totally up to you but I would point out that the convention is for the upper arm of the 'k' to conform to the x h...

There is no import duty on data transferred over the internet but I do believe that you will be charged 20% VAT on the purchase.

Re: Any way to make Transform dialog remember previous settings?

Also the icon above the 'Save Script' button is the load script button. I have built up a library of useful scripts. I find it helps to start the name of the script with a capital 'A' so that my scripts appear at the beginning of the extensive list of scripts which are installed with Font Creator by...

Re: Initial, medial, and final ligatures not working outside of Font Creator

The applications which use your font will use a rendering engine to render the text, something like Uniscribe or HarfBuzz . These rendering engines have a file of information on how to render the Initial, Medial and Final forms in Arabic. That is why the Initial, Medial and Final forms work in Arabi...

Re: Font Creator 14 - Indication of Interpolation Issues

Putting it in as an option which can be switched on or off might be good. There could be a note next to the option or a tool tip to say that this may slow down the program for large fonts. Then it is down to the user if they want it or not.

Re: New font version does not overwrite previous

I don't know anything about MacOs but in Windows it is possible to have two different fonts with the same name installed on the same machine. I don't know if this has anything to do with the issue you are having. On Windows there are two ways to install a font, ' Insta l l ' and ' Install for a ll u...

Re: Three questions

These 'errors' are small and they have little effect on the final font. There isn't a way to eliminate the discrepancies since the points have to be on integer values but they can be reduced by selecting a higher 'Units per Em' value when starting a font. A font with 2048 units per Em will have twic...

Re: why are some glyphs missing from ttf?

The Private Use Areas are big, there is no need to appropriate anything from another language (that may cause confusion to programs which try to assess the language support by glyph coverage). Three private use areas are defined: one in the Basic Multilingual Plane (U+E000–U+F8FF), and one each in, ...
