Advanced Fractions
Jonne here. I'm getting into fractions. I've done the easy ones 1/4 1/2 3/4 using alt-codes. However I can't seem to figure out how to do other fractions. I searched the web for the alt-codes but I only find unicode. Could someone please get me started on what I need to do for other fractions. Your ...

Re: Font getting cutoff in FontCreator, Windows, and others
Jonne here. Happy Thanksgiving all! I think I've figured out how Windows treats foreign fonts. Windows seems to never have been intended to use anything but Segoe at 9 to 10 points (in List View). It is more pliable with most other views. I'm using Winaero Tweaker to change different compartments of...

Re: Standards for Bold Weights
I ment the effects to thin and bold in the Opentype Designer I believe it is called. It's where most of the calt features are.

Standards for Bold Weights
Jonne Haven here. I'm near complete my font and I need to make a bold version because I do not like what Windows 10 does to bold the glyphs I've worked hard on. Is there a standard out there? Any ideas how to maintain the aesthetic quality of the original. Are there any suggestions as to what settin...

Re: Font getting cutoff in FontCreator, Windows, and others
Thanks for your replies. It seems that windows doesn't allow for any modification that I'm aware of the font size working with it because even the default font, Segoe, cuts off if changed to anything above 9 point. Does anyone know more about this? I have tried scaling down my own font using FontCre...

Re: Font getting cutoff in FontCreator, Windows, and others
Thanks Erwin for your reply and help. I tried the calculate and turned off the vertical spacing option to no avail. Forgive my ignorance but could you tell me what UPEM is?
Blessings Erwin!

Thanks for your reply. Attached is my metric settings. Please advise on what and if something needs to be changed to fit that "imaginary box".

Font getting cutoff in FontCreator, Windows, and others
About a week ago I was excited to learn that Windows now seems to support CALT and Kerning. But there are issues I wondered if y'all might have some insight into. Attached is examples of my font getting cut off I couldn't circle all of them but there are many more than I circled in red. My glyphs do...

Calt and Kerning for Iphone 8 Plus ios 13
I've worked almost exclusively with PCs all my life. I gave in and bought an iphone. Getting my darn font installed was a nightmare, at least, a bad dream. Any way I've gotten my font to work with Note and Word for IOs, BUT the CALT and Kerning doesn't seem to work. Is it just me or is this a univer...

Re: underscores
Thank you all for your responses! So I am understanding that when my font is ready, I am to choose an option on exporting that reads, "No" or "Regenerate for release". I am assuming that if I select the right option my glyphs will automatically be named without spaces as is best to use with software...

Hey Y'all!
Is there any advantage to name my glyphs with underscores instead of spaces?
Thanks

Getting Fonts Accepted by MyFonts.com
Has anybody in the FontCreator community successfully entered and got accepted by MyFonts.com? I tried like 3 years ago and got rejected for some good reasons. I would love to hear tips about how to get accepted as they seem to be the cream of the crop in terms of font sales.
Blessings,
Jonne

Eliminating Kerns
Hi all!
I was wondering if anybody knows a quick way to delete kerns that can't possibly occur based on my CALT entries.
Blessings,
Jonne
