Thanks!

Font getting cutoff in FontCreator, Windows, and others

About a week ago I was excited to learn that Windows now seems to support CALT and Kerning. But there are issues I wondered if y'all might have some insight into. Attached is examples of my font getting cut off I couldn't circle all of them but there are many more than I circled in red. My glyphs do...

Calt and Kerning for Iphone 8 Plus ios 13

I've worked almost exclusively with PCs all my life. I gave in and bought an iphone. Getting my darn font installed was a nightmare, at least, a bad dream. Any way I've gotten my font to work with Note and Word for IOs, BUT the CALT and Kerning doesn't seem to work. Is it just me or is this a univer...

Re: underscores

Thank you all for your responses! So I am understanding that when my font is ready, I am to choose an option on exporting that reads, "No" or "Regenerate for release". I am assuming that if I select the right option my glyphs will automatically be named without spaces as is best to use with software...

underscores

Hey Y'all!

Is there any advantage to name my glyphs with underscores instead of spaces?

Thanks

Getting Fonts Accepted by MyFonts.com

Has anybody in the FontCreator community successfully entered and got accepted by MyFonts.com? I tried like 3 years ago and got rejected for some good reasons. I would love to hear tips about how to get accepted as they seem to be the cream of the crop in terms of font sales.

Blessings,

Eliminating Kerns

Hi all!

I was wondering if anybody knows a quick way to delete kerns that can't possibly occur based on my CALT entries.

Re: Kerning problems

There is not much we can improve, so I might be missing something. Please explain how can we show a horizontal movement of less than a pixel? This is the formula to convert a font unit into a pixel unit: PointSize * resolution / ( 72 points per inch * units_per_em ) So basically if you look at some...

Re: Kerning problems

Okay, though I have to say, this isn't very convenient. I appreciate the option of temporarily installing the font so I can test it outside of FC, but I'd even more appreciate getting a reliable final result within the program. The preview window in the OTD only gives a rough sketch and isn't very ...

Re: Font Creator Expert Wanted...

I was in the hospital for a couple days. I didn't much more than make it home after my last email before my heart was giving me issues. My wife brought in my tablet, but gmail isn't set up on it. Aww Mike I'm so sorry. I pray that your stay at the hospital was a productive one and that nothing seri...

Re: Font Creator Expert Wanted...

Alfred was trying to "teach you to fish" versus being paid "to fish for you." For those of us that make money making fonts, we generally shy away from small work because it can be either a labor of love (i.e., it doesn't pay the bills) or the person desiring to pay for something like what I am unde...
