Re: Main Type Processing Font Information Failure

I have also had the issue with red-dot marked fonts a couple of times (2-3) last time 2 days agoo. Had to solve with reboot as mentioned... But it's a strange issue though, appears from nowhere, no action/handling done in Main Type or the Win syst fonts folder?? Just opening Main Type and there it i...

Re: Any plans for going 64-bit ?

However, while I think it would be good for MT to be 64-bit, it may never result in an increase of speed in daily use. It may decrease initial cataloging. With extremely large font catalogs, it may decrease startup time once that is done. But neither of those things are a given. Hi again Mike, I'm ...

Re: Any plans for going 64-bit ?

64-bit can access more memory than 32-bit, but being 64-bit doesn't necessarily equate to operational speed increases for many/most applications given the same files (in fact, some 64-bit applications benchmark slower than their 32-bit counterparts). "Speed" differences can become apparent when one...

Re: Any plans for going 64-bit ?

Thanx for answer Erwin. I think it will do a lot for the speed when reading databases, but of cause it's a difference between softwares. :D

Good luck and hope it's not too much work to make it 64-bit

Re: Feature Request: scrolling works even when panel is not in focus

Very good suggestion... I'm new to "MainType" and this issue was one of the first I noticed. I would also like be able to scroll the different windows just by having the cursor over it. Because now you must highlight by clicking the window and it means that you can hit a object that wasn't meant and...

Any plans for going 64-bit ?

Quite new to using "MainType" and very happy that I changed from another fonthandling software. Was struggeling with the developer for almost 2 month for fix some elementary bugs that showed up after Windows update Aniversary and Creators... Re: Maintype not finding any fonts in Folder

Most likely depends that you have the original fonts folder on Google drive. If it shall work with the "C" drive you must have the fonts library in a synced folder on your "C" drive so that the fonts physically is there. If there's no reason why you have the fonts folder under personally login... be...

Re: Maintype not finding any fonts in Folder

Good it works... but in first attempt... did you write the path manually?? Because if you use the "Browse" button and explore the fonts-folder, it must be correct.

Re: Individually appereance in fontmenu

Thanks Bhikkhu. But my question maybee was unclear... I wondered if there was any function in "MT" that can manage how the fonts appear in the other softwares menus... To do that renaming I have tools for so that is not a problem, just explained what I have to do if I can't work something out within...

Structure and handling

Hi again, just want some advice if I'm on the wrong direction...? I saw the other post about workflow... was quite informative. I wonder if this is a good way to startup the structure and have the foundation of handling fonts organized like this. As you can see on the screenshot I have 3 main font f...
