I have just received the font and put it through Microsoft Font Validator. I did find one thing related to your problem: From Font Validator Help, Message: W0307 Microsoft recommends that use of the Private Use Area (PUA) in Unicode fonts is avoided. For legacy reasons, the 'fi' and 'fl' ligatures a...

I assume you are using Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator to create the keyboard layout? Although I haven't used it, maybe other people have tried this tool.

Can you send the font file to me, so I can investigate the problem?

The Font Creator Program v4.0.6 (v4.0.6.146)

No new features, just one bug fix. This bug only occurred within an undo operation, (fortunately) most people never use the undo feature. Links to composite glyphs were updated just a bit too late. This caused serious access violations and the loss of all unsaved data. This release solves this bug. ...

You won't be able to fully control the way Windows imitates a font style for display. Maybe changing the Panose settings could result in using a font substitute; otherwise it will imitate the font.

From the manual: Draw a new contour First select Contour from the Insert menu. A left mouse click creates a point on the contour and a right mouse click creates a point off the contour for a bézier curve. Creating points while holding down the Ctrl key generates straight lines (horizontal or vertica...

Maybe the font is monospaced. Another thing thing that could be causing this behaviour is data located in hdmx and LTSH tables. If available in the font, you should remove these tables (Select Tables from the Format menu and then go to the Unsupported page). To regenerate the tables (hdmx and LTSH) ...

I want to release version 4.1 as soon as I've completed the combine contours feature. I also have to update the help file and manual.

This could take a couple of weeks or even months...

After that I want to improve the import image feature.

The import feature is not optimized. This feature will be improved in the near future. Right now you could try to use larger images or adjust the outlines manually.

If the font is meant to support UCS-4 (surrogate) characters, it will additionally need a Microsoft UCS-4 platform with Segmented coverage encoding format.
