You could combine the overlapping contours. When you want to combine two contours you have to select one point on both contours. Next right-click one of these points and click Join Contours on the shortcut menu.

The best and fastest way to give your font a name is to select AutoNaming from the Tools menu (available since version 3.1.2). Edit the Font family name and press the Next button. On the next page press the Finish button. This ensures all required fields are correctly updated.

The font has mappings for both Microsoft Unicode and Microsoft Symbol. A font should have only one Microsoft platform. Read the help file about the differences between Unicode and Symbol and then decide which platform you want to remove.

About the font you sent to me, in both glyphs there are contours way outside the visible area (use the shortcut CTRL-A to select all contours). Removing those contours will solve the problem.

Both files you sent to me work just fine.

Make sure you have typed upper case "A" and "B" in the text field to see your creation. It won't work if you are typing lower case characters.
