The import feature is not optimized. This feature will be improved in the near future. Right now you could try to use larger images or adjust the outlines manually.

If the font is meant to support UCS-4 (surrogate) characters, it will additionally need a Microsoft UCS-4 platform with Segmented coverage encoding format. Use the Platform Manager to add new platforms. To enable backward compatibility needs, the contents of the Segmented coverage mappings need to b...

One of the high priority todo items is improving the trace functionality. For now your workaround seems to be a perfect alternative to improve the imported outlines.

After all, that is all that really matters when looking for a glyph in the Overview. The whole overview wi...

Bhikkhu, Thanks for your fast response to the new release! Perhaps the warning about loss of hinting information needs to be in bold, though people making new fonts will not be affected by this. Good point. The warning is only necessary when working on hinted fonts. I'll make sure this warning won't...

As you already suspected, the quality has a lot to do with hinting. The hints are what make a font look good at low resolutions. The Font Creator Program does not fully support hinting. The Font Creator Program is not aware of the actual hinting information; that’s why a glyph’s hinting information ...

Maybe Internet Explorer displays the font as if it were a monospaced font.

Can you send the font file to me, so I can investigate the problem?

Also could you provide me more details (e.g. after which glyphs are the unwanted spaces) about the problem?
