I am sorry to hear you have issues with the latest update. Since this is no longer a coincidence, we do suspect some issue within the software. I hope we can find a solution soon, but right now we are not able to reproduce the problem, so it might take some time.

You can make groups to categorize your fonts, but I also suggest you take a look at Tags. See the Quick Start Tutorial . Actually the topic should have been posted in the FontCreator forums, as the only license I see is a FontCreator one. I will move the topic from Scanahand support to the correct forum.

FontCreator can detect contours with a wrong direction. Click the Correct contour directions button on the Validation panel to correct the direction of all misoriented contours or select Direction from the Edit menu to change the direction of the selected contour(s).

Active fonts with a red indicator are fonts that are not permanently installed, but temporary loaded by external software.

To get rid of them, you need to find out which software loads the fonts. Then either find a setting to stop it, or remove the external software from your computer.
