Re: Script Font - Using the Apostrophe

If you include right single quote in a class together with apostrophe, and use that class in your glyph substitutions instead of the apostrophe, your font might be made to work with or without smart quotes enabled.

Are you referring to this tutorial?

Did my reply to your other thread solve the problem that you reported there?

Re: Script Font - Using the Apostrophe

Probably your font uses an OpenType feature that is not supported by Word and PhotoShop, or that is not enabled by default. The WOFF test page will tell you which features need to be enabled for the apostrophe to work as designed.

Can you get it to work in LibreOffice?

Re: Glyph Properties Dialogue Box

What do you mean by "the new one will not accept a subscript modifier"?
They refer to the X/Y extents of the bounding box for the glyph.

Re: Glyph Properties Dialogue Issue

Not normally reproducible here, but this will happen if you change some glyph properties, then switch to another program, e.g. Calculator, without clicking on Apply. No a bug IMO, it is just how the dialogue works. What is more disconcerting is that the dialogue disappears from view when switching t...

Please give a step by step recipe with a screenshot of your Transform Wizard before you clicked on OK.

If bugs cannot be reproduced, they cannot be fixed.

Renaming the glyphs using your advice seemed to improve the situation. Now there are only a few glyphs that don't generate which I can live with. Thanks again.
Tell us which glyphs don't generate, then we can tell you which accents or base glyphs are missing or incorrectly named.

Re: Transform Wizard question

Go to Tools, Options, Advanced, and Open the User Data Folder. If the Transform scripts are not there, this might be an issue with write permissions for that folder. Copy the data files and try again.

Re: Composites not all generated in FC12

The new version requires combining diacritical marks. If you're using an old font project with only modifier accents, add the combining diacritic equivalents, and try again. Where the new version uses glyph names, they must be correct. Use Tools, Glyph Names, Generate to ensure that your glyphs are ...

Re: Transform Wizard question

The settings that you change in the Transform Wizard are only saved if you actually apply them by clicking OK. I don't think anything has changed. This behaviour is the same in 11.5. What has changed, is that Transformations can now be undone, so you don't need to be so concerned that running the wi...

It was intentional removed because, as you discovered, it only duplicates what is on the Glyph Properties toolbar.

Re: How to reduce the large space between letters in the finished font.?

To change the right side-bearing of Z, drag the bearing line to the left, or edit the value in the Glyph Properties dialogue and click on Apply. The Help File Says: Left side-bearing, right side-bearing, and advance width In the Glyph Edit window there are two vertical lines (normally the glyph outl...

Re: How to align vertically individual letters?

The Glyph Transform is on the Tools menu. It is not available in the Home Edition. In the Home Edition you will have to move or position glyphs one by one in the Glyph Edit window using the Transform floating toolbar illustrated in the screenshot. As I said in my previous post: One can select severa...
