Re: Transform Wizard question

Go to Tools, Options, Advanced, and Open the User Data Folder. If the Transform scripts are not there, this might be an issue with write permissions for that folder. Copy the data files and try again.

Re: Composites not all generated in FC12

The new version requires combining diacritical marks. If you're using an old font project with only modifier accents, add the combining diacritic equivalents, and try again. Where the new version uses glyph names, they must be correct. Use Tools, Glyph Names, Generate to ensure that your glyphs are ...

Re: Transform Wizard question

The settings that you change in the Transform Wizard are only saved if you actually apply them by clicking OK. I don't think anything has changed. This behaviour is the same in 11.5. What has changed, is that Transformations can now be undone, so you don't need to be so concerned that running the wi...

Re: bearings missing

It was intentional removed because, as you discovered, it only duplicates what is on the Glyph Properties toolbar.

Are you using the Home Edition, or the Standard or Professional Edition?

Did you manage to align your glyphs vertically using the methods described?

Re: How to reduce the large space between letters in the finished font.?

To change the right side-bearing of Z, drag the bearing line to the left, or edit the value in the Glyph Properties dialogue and click on Apply. The Help File Says: Left side-bearing, right side-bearing, and advance width In the Glyph Edit window there are two vertical lines (normally the glyph outl...

Re: How to align vertically individual letters?

The Glyph Transform is on the Tools menu. It is not available in the Home Edition. In the Home Edition you will have to move or position glyphs one by one in the Glyph Edit window using the Transform floating toolbar illustrated in the screenshot. As I said in my previous post: One can select severa...

Re: How to align vertically individual letters?

Not all letters should be in the same vertical position. Those with flat bases, like L need to sit on the baseline, while those with rounded bases, like O or 0, need to overshoot the baseline. The same is true about the tops of some letters needing to overshoot the x-height or CapHeight. Then, of co...

Enable the Validation Toolbar, or run the Font Validator.

Some of your contours have an incorrect direction.

Re: Character Map in MainType and CorelDraw

When you click the Unicode icon to display glyphs instead of characters, unmapped glyphs will be displayed as for the sfi glyph in my font. Unmapped Character.png In your font, several glyphs are unmapped alternative forms of A, B, C, etc. In CorelDraw, these extra glyphs can be displayed in CorelDr...

How do you access stylistic sets in word notepad or coreldraw?
Notepad has very limited support for OpenType. Only some ligatures will be supported.

I don't know about CorelDraw support for OpenType. Which version are you using?

See Here for example.

Re: Space Diacritics?

FontCreator 12 uses combining diacritics for composites. That is the recommended method.

Fonts don't need to have spacing modifier diacritics, but many fonts do include them.

See the tutorial on Latin Diacritical Marks — Accents

Re: 8 characters not showing - only in FontCreator are shown

Then it is already a Unicode font.

Either you have not successfully replaced the old version with the new one, or your Cross Stitch software expects to find a symbol font.

Which Unicode code-points did you assign to the 8 undefined glyphs?
