Re: Ye Alde Font Familie
I revised my Pali Font many times since 2008; at least a couple of times last year. It is not finished yet.

Re: Ye Alde Font Familie
The more one looks, the more one sees. It is best to leave it and return to the job later when it's "good enough." There are some odd things happening when typing ii, which changes to ij, and with ij. Better stretch the j down a bit to accommodate the i before j than move the i up. q and j descender...

Re: Ye Alde Font Familie
Just removing the mapping from the "e" glyph, and delete all lowercase glyphs.
Use the glyph properties toolbar to apply two or more code-points (separated with a comma) to any glyph.

Re: Ye Alde Font Familie
I think Night Cappes would be better if you dual-mapped upper and lowercase to each glyph, so A should be mapped to both 65 and 97, B to 66 and 98, etc.
As it is, typing any lowercase character (except for e) has no visible effect.

Re: Printing-to-PDF the character set
I created an OpenOffice/LibreOffice template some time ago to work around this problem. The glyphs when printed from FontCreator are output as graphics, which is why they cannot be selected and don't look too sharp. Load the attached template in LibreOffice or Word, edit the Glyph paragraph style to...

Re: Size of the glyph
TrueType fonts are scalable vectors, not bitmaps so it is difficult to design glyphs in that way. I design my fonts to have a default line-spacing of 12 points (1/6") for 10 point text. In theory, a glyph using exactly half of the design space would be 6 points, 1/12", or 6 pixels @ 96 pixels per in...

Re: Previewing ligature glyphs
Unmapped glyphs are added to the preview toolbar with shortcut "P" by using the glyph names. This feature was added in FontCreator 9.0 . Preview of Unmapped Glyphs.png Discretionary Ligatures can be tested in the Preview Toolbar by typing the ct text string and enabling the dlig feature (assuming th...

Re: Ligatures, substitutions and scripts
Amazing what one missing ; can do, but that's coding for you! If you clear all scripts, then open the Code Editor, FontCreator will add some default features for you. Add Automatically.png If you do that, you will see the semicolon that is missing from your code, and causing the syntax error. Featur...
