Re: Changing a colour later

You're using the 'Color mode' button to the right of the 'Fill outlines' button; this has the same effect as the 'Color mode' entry on the View menu, which is what I was using. William was clicking on the 'Glyph display mode' button to the left of the 'Fill outlines' button, and then choosing 'Color...

Re: Colour font previews

Thank you for the link to the Pantone® colour finder page. Although there is no colour which is simply named 'Jade', there is a 'Jade Green'. My colour picker tells me that all of the jades have a significant amount of red; this is in stark contrast to 'Emerald', which has none at all.

Re: Changing a colour later

When, after reopening the project file, I open the glyph edit window, the contours are not grouped and are black, even though the mode is Color. So it seems that the default monochrome glyph is being displayed regardless of the setting of the colour mode. I am running Windows xp with the screen at ...

Re: Colour font previews

quote Emerald PANTONE 17–5641 CMYK 86.8.57.0 end quote I wonder why they called it 'emerald' rather than something like 'jade'. To my eye, there's not enough yellow (or, in RGB terms, there's too much blue) to give you, in Pantone's words, "a vivid, verdant green". (What is "verdant&...

Re: Changing a colour later

You should be able to change the palette index of a specific color member glyph at all times, just make sure you have opened the glyph edit window, and are in color mode. Obviously the Palette toolbar must be visible, so if you don't see it, select View from the main menu, then click Toolbars -> Pa...

Re: Preview Tool Bar

I can confirm the (mis)behaviour. FC is trying to impose its minimum and maximum of 4pt and 512pt respectively, so if you try to type 12 it sees the 1 and replaces it with a 4, leaving the cursor to the left of that digit so that the 2 gets added on in front, giving you 24 (with the cursor in betwee...

What isn't obvious is why Dick's second screenshot not only shows '(build 484)' but also shows 'Version 7.5.1'. Where did the '5.1' come from? Dolby Laboratories?? :P

Re: Manual Kerning

With the current glyph displayed in a Glyph Edit window, you can choose 'View > Toolbars > Comparison' (F11) to display the Comparison toolbar. Type in the text to be displayed before and after the selected glyph, and toggle kerning on and off to see the effect of your efforts. :)

Re: Pasting a colour to the palette from the clipboard data

I have found it possible, using copy and paste, to transfer from DrawPlus to WordPad, by using the clipboard, adequate information about the desired colour so as to reproduce it The problem, as I see it, is that you are not transferring information about the desired colour (at least, not in isolati...

Re: Pasting a colour to the palette from the clipboard data

I have found it possible to copy and paste the Cadmium Yellow Primrose colour from DrawPlus to WordPad I don't think it's possible to copy a colour from DrawPlus to WordPad; as far as I know, you can only copy a (coloured) object and paste it as an image. If you could copy a fill rather than a fill...

That looks like Handel Gothic (with a few tweaks, of course).
