Re: Auto-order kerning pairs alphabetically
I think it is a nice feature, and will make sure it is included in the next version of FontCreator.

Re: MainType 4.5, Windows 7 x64 and Type1 - strange behaviou
It was a little harder than we expected, but we are convinced the issue is now fully solved.
We will probably release this update later this week, but I've already uploaded the new setup and send you a direct download link. If others want to use this new version, just send me a pm.

Re: Windows 8
Thank you for letting us know.
This is due to changes we made to our website a couple of weeks ago. Of course at that time everything seemed to work just fine. Now for some reason this error occurs. I'm not sure why, but we will fix it ASAP.

Re: Calculating # of fonts
Our font manager is designed to be a complete font management system, that takes away the need to know where your fonts are located.
I wonder what you really want to know. We might have an answer or might be able to add a solution in a future release.

Re: Calculating # of fonts
The exact number of fonts added to (known by) MainType always equals the number of font in the library. So in your case 711. 1) is the number of fonts currently available to your system and the software, like Microsoft Word, Adobe Indesign, etc. 2) the last fonts added to MainType's library. 3) is i...

Re: From Vector (e.g. an Adobe Illustrator image) to Font
The PDF files contain outlines that look like smooth curves, but in fact the are made of short connected lines. So in my opinion this is not the best example, but it does convert correct and fast. It would be better to have a PDF with true curves, to show how those are converted. I need to look for ...
