Re: Black outline & fill inside
And what application do you intend on viewing colored fonts in at this point in time? View this page in any browser...except IE 11. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page. See Alan's logo (the "type3")? http://cr8software.net/article007.html Now use IE 11. Colored fonts will not show t...

Re: Which file types?
Hi Erwin--yes, you are correct. Flashes by so fast that I am focusing on different aspects. I had to make a screen recording to make sure what the dialog actually says. As to which process is more faithful to the original letter form, I'll take the copy/paste. It does a pretty good job out of the ap...

It would be nice if Erwin would pop in.
When I am pasting a known bitmap, I get a title in the dialog Creating Contours, not Retrieving Contours.

Re: Which file types?
BTW... LibreOffice's Draw application also pastes as curves...but it is ugly. I am of the opinion that whatever is on that clipboard, FC can either retrieve the contours well, or not. Perhaps it is the metafile description from LO Draw is what is being grabbed by FC, but I dunno. But it isn't pretty...

I'm working on someone else's font.
So while I read an article this morning about apathy perhaps having a correlation to aging, I don't care <g>.

Re: Which file types?
There's no need to export from CD, at least from the last couple versions. Does it import as vectors, though, or does it use FontCreator's built in bitmap autotrace? There will be fewer nodes and smoother curves if vector import is used. CorelDraw X6, Xara Designer Pro Illustrator all paste as vect...

Re: Which file types?
There's no need to export from CD, at least from the last couple versions. For your use, you'll need to figure out the ideal size to create the glyphs in CD (I'm using X6 at the moment) and the font I am working on is 1000 units per em. I have guidelines set up in CDX6 spaced 2.375" apart for m...

Re: Anyone migrated from Linotype Font Explorer?
Hello Sonic, I have only used Lino's FE for a brief comparative period against MT (twice actually, once a few years ago and once just recently). From a font management perspective, pretty similar. While I use Adobe products daily (ID and AI in my case), I haven't used the plug-ins from either applic...

Re: 5.1: Extra font images exported
Thanks, Erwin.
Yes, I was mistaken. I guess where I got caught up was the export dialog's "Overwrite existing files (.html .gif .png .css .ico)" checkbox. I think the confusion was thinking this would delete the existing files if they were not part of the current export.
Take care, Mike

5.1: Extra font images exported [Closed]
A quick search didn't find a hit... I just exported selected fonts using HTML Export. During the uploading, I noticed far more images than should have been included. And there were. I tried it a few different times to make sure. In every case the HTML Export's Index Page only had links to the releva...

• Core Font Protection
Like FontExplorer, it would be nice if core Windows fonts could be locked or indicated by a color. Maybe even have the option to hide them.
Maybe the ability to lock fonts of one's own choosing would also be a good feature.

Re: How do I make an enormous font Word will recognize?
...That line about 65,000 possible characters in a font is a big, fat LIE. I can't get one to work with more than about 2500, and even THESE still don't work consistantly in Word 2007 on different computers. How much does FontLab cost? Been a while since I used Word 2007 and cannot remember if it w...
