Colour font discussion in 2002
Now that colour font technology is well-established, some readers might find the thread that I started on Monday 24 June 2002 in the Unicode mail list archives of historical interest. https://www.unicode.org/mail-arch/unicode-ml/y2002-m06/ https://www.unicode.org/mail-arch/unicode-ml/y2002-m07/ Plea...

Re: Balgruf
Is the name used for the font the subject of copyright? Would you consider renaming the font and then uploading it directly to this forum please? Although it is a very nice looking font and has great potential use, alas the name is somewhat concerning to me due to my concerns over possible copyright...
Re: Balgruf
I tried the online text test using the twelve characters needed for Esperanto and I am pleased to note that they are included in the font.
ĈĉĜĝĤĥĴĵŜŝŬŭ
Ĉu neĝas? This is the Esperanto for "Is it snowing?".

Re: Sonnet to a Renaissance Lady
In July 2020 I started a specialist magazine. For the body text I used Goudita SF, a Venetian style font that was bundled with the desktop publishing software, Serif PagePlus. Yet I wanted a distinctive font for the title. So I tried Sonnet to a Renaissance Lady and it seemed to work well. So here i...

Re: Template question
Ah, I have managed to do it.
Make a copy of the 1 page Signatures template then change the code points to
$E001-$E01A
That produces a 2-page template.

Template question
On page 4 of http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~ngo/localizable_sentences_the_novel_chapter_005.pdf are 26 glyphs that I designed. I would like to produce a font of handwriting versions of those glyphs using Scanahand 4.5 professional. Is it possible to produce a template, maybe more than one page, w...

Disasters font https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/114792-symbols-for-disasters/ Today I used FontCreator 8 to produce an experimental font. I started with a copy of my Pixel Polka font from 2006. The symbols are located in the Private Use Area of the font, at code points U+ED01 to U+E...

Re: Using Affinity Publisher with Scanahand to produce a font
Hi I have just noticed the previous post in this thread. I do not use Affinity Designer myself and do not know the answer to your question. However, I have made a mention of your question in the following thread in the Affinity forum. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/96904-using-aff...

Re: Clarendon
You might try to look for the typeface Modern Roman or Modern No. 20. It might be a matter of the name Clarendon being a trademark or something like that. Though I seem to remember that Clarendon was like Modern Roman Bold, as Modern Roman was used as a typeface for books. They both have the upper h...
