Install Adobe Indesign CS6 Plugin
Recently we've received support questions about installing the Adobe Indesign CS6 plug-in. Usually it should be installed through MainType, but for some reason this will not always work. You can manually install the plug-in as follows: Download the plug-in for Adobe Indesign CS6 here: http://www.hig...

Re: Font File Location via Shortcut
I understand the confusion, but it is merely a trick to see all installed fonts, even when they are outside Windows fonts folder.
As you can clearly see in your own Properties dialog, it isn't a shortcut.

Re: Font creator does not save font individual X-position
I really think you should upgrade to the latest version, as besides all enhancements and new features, it also comes with numerous bug fixes. Some of these bugs can lead to incorrect fonts, which can indeed be very annoying. People who upgrade in May will also get a free upgrade to FontCreator versi...

Re: Font creator does not save font individual X-position
In case you are using the most recent version, do send us the font along with some instructions to reproduce the issue.
Otherwise you should consider to upgrade.

Re: Legacy kern tables
The pair adjustment lookup was rejected, because one pair was in conflict with the way the old kern table works.

Re: Legacy kern tables
The good old (read legacy) 'kern' table is not supported with OpenType fonts containing CFF outlines, so must use the 'GPOS' OpenType Layout table.

Please respect the end user license agreement of the fonts you intend to miduy. If you are not sure if you are allowed to make modifcations, do contact the font vendor. Well, the good news is … I was able to get the glyph I'd created @ $F000 to work by copying it to a new empty glyph @ $1DCD and giv...

Re: From Vector (e.g. an Adobe Illustrator image) to Font
Usually the imported image needs to be scaled to fit into the visible area.
You can set a specific scale factor through the Options dialog.
Usually it is best to use a default scale factor, otherwise a dot (.) might become as large as an at sign (@).

No.
If i'm wrong, then that means I can improve our software, but I'm afraid that I've tried all things one can imagine the last 18 years I develop font software for Windows.
