Re: Autokerning Improvements
The kerning dialogue could make better use of available space. Although the WinDescent is as low as it can go without clashing, there is a good deal of space wasted above WinAscent. Scaling the glyphs up to use the full vertical extent of the grid would make for more accurate kerning. Kerning Dialog...

Re: Kerning Issues
You put the cart before the horse in trying to fix the spacing problems by using kerning. I suggest removing all of the kerning pairs, and fixing the spacing first before testing the font in the font test window using some text samples from Kern King What I did with the attached version, was to stri...

Re: Kerning Issues
The edited font would be a great help. If it works here, then we know that it must be the application that doesn't recognise the kerning.

Re: Old Manuals
it must be corrupted. Why do you say that? The table of contents and index in the manual do not have hyperlinks so they are not supposed to do anything. The PDF manual for FC 6.2 is the same. Use the PDF bookmarks in the Adobe Reader bookmarks panel on the left. If the file was corrupted, you would...

Re: Characters automatically to the same baseline
In the Pro Edition it is possible to move all selected glyphs by the same distance using the Transformation Wizard, but I suspect that each glyph will require a different movement if they were drawn by hand on a template. Select all of the contours in each glyph and use the cursor keys to move the g...

Export as PDF or use a higher resolution bitmap. At least 300 pixels is recommended. See this tutorial on importing bitmap images:

Re: How to make a macron to be at the top
This support forum is for High-logic products, not MS products. I think you expect too much. I already told you what to do. If that's not enough, read the help file for the Keyboard Layout Creator. Creating composites is explained in the linked tutorial thread. Then, in the Dead Key Dialogue you sta...

Re: How to make a macron to be at the top
Dead keys are very useful to type many related accented characters with just two keystrokes — first the accent ¯, which does nothing on its own, then the vowel or consonant, which types the composite glyph: ā, ē, etc. In the MS Keyboard Layout Creator, right-click on any key, and assign it as a dead...

Re: My font does not in bold when printed
For the bold style, the bold flags need to be set and the weight needs to be set to bold or demi bold, on the Classification Tab of the Format, Settings dialogue.

Re: How to make a macron to be at the top
For a non-standard composite like dz macron you will have to use another method. See the method used in the Home Edition for completing composites. The MS Keyboard Layout Creator can be used to create custom keyboards. I use the _ key (shift -) as a dead key for macron. With this method I can easily...

Press the "G" button on the character tab to "Show all glyphs."
This is only available from MainType 3.0 IIRC.

Re: Two color font
Fonts are monochrome — you can have any colour you want as long as its black. Clockwise contours are filled (with black), anticlockwise contours are transparent (not white, they have no fill at all). If you want two colours, then you need to do that in another program. Your example could be done by ...

Re: My font does not in bold when printed
1. Bold fonts need to be designed as a separate typeface with thicker strokes.
2. Without a screen shot it is hard to know what you mean.
Click on the "Upload Attachment" tab below the message reply box to attach an image. Crop the screen shot to show just what is important.
