New Font Quick Steps

New Font Quick Steps I started off drawing one character at a time, scanning it in, pasting it into FCP, and making final adjustments there. It took a lot of time. I soon found it was easier for me to just do the whole thing from scratch in FC using the Contour Drawing Tool. But then Erwin made suc...

Rotating Glyphs

Place a guide line at the angle you want.

Select the glyph in contour mode [the outline will turn red] and right click in it. An "X" will appear in the center of the glyph.

Use the mouse to grab a corner, and rotate it to the angle you want.

Sorry, I tried to back page and edit and generated multiple copies of my reply. See what you can learn without even trying? Open Type still has the .ttf extension. Ariel is an Open Type. Can you open it? Perhaps you could send me a font you are having the problem with? Erwin is a better choice, but ...

Re-Naming

No, Sorry, a rose by any other name remains a rose. There appeared to be two possibilities with your problem. A. Your Font or B. Your Program. A. If they were named wrong you can re-name them in CFP.
