Re: AutoMetrics & AutoKern Greek & Extended Greek characters ONLY?
I'll second that sentiment! Although I'm not exactly holding off on an upgrade, but I would certainly move up if this becomes available. I have a current font project that has exactly this need, and I have on my screen right now Latin proportional and Greek monospaced. Ugh ...

Re: AutoMetrics & AutoKern Greek & Extended Greek characters ONLY?
Would love to "run it once for each character set"! I would love to be able to select a set of glyphs and run it for that set. Or a Unicode Block. Or a script. Ideally, on the selected glyphs. I am just trying to get away from the "Copy all the Glyphs you want and then copy them back&...

Re: AutoMetrics & AutoKern Greek & Extended Greek characters ONLY?
Is it time to revisit the issue of AutoMetrics / Optical Metrics operating on a only subset of glyphs? The manual says " this process can take from several minutes up to several hours " ... but I just timed my run at 33 seconds (on a two year old machine) ... but it doesn't cover my Greek...

Re: Advance Width of Space
And ... it's easy for me to fix things for those empty glyphs ... if I know this is the behavior. What happened is that I was not aware of this behavior, and just happened to notice the ADW on $A0/NBSP was not updated. Whew!
So maybe a note in the manual would help?

Re: Advance Width of Space
... fixed width is for Tabular Figures ... Hmmm. Well FC does let me select all the characters in my font, not just the Figures. And it does correctly set the ADW. So I'm thinking that the functionality was intended to be there ... it just does not do anything if the glyph has no contours. So, from...

[CLOSED] Advance Width of Space
Font Creator Pro 12.0.0.2567 Tools => Auto Metrics => Fixed Width does not set the advance width (ADW) of space (or I think any glyphs with no contours).
I'm changing the ADW by +1 ... have not tried other situations.

Auto Metrics / Fixed Width / Balance Slider
Auto Metrics with Fixed Width currently alters the LSB and RSB of each affected glyph equally. This is good for most situations, but maybe not all. I would propose a "Balance Slider" that give the % of alteration to be done on the LSB vs the RSB. Center position (the default) would be 50% ...

Degenerate Contours
How does FC handle a contour with one point? It appears that FC v12 on Win10x64 passes it right through to the output, and that's causing me heartburn. Maybe FC should delete such contours? This does happen in production fonts. Times New Roman v7.00 has a flock of them - for example: Glyph #3022, ma...

Re: Feature request - ability to add DSIG to a font
There is a tool available to patch in a dummy DSIG table to the font, if needed. https://github.com/googlefonts/gftools/blob/master/bin/gftools-fix-dsig.py It requires Python3 and the FontTools package to be installed - kind of a heavyweight fix for what amounts to an eight-byte addition to the font...

Re: Feature request - ability to add DSIG to a font
It appears that this is still an issue.
Fontbakery issues a FAIL if no DSIG is present, I think based on the behavior Word 2013 (which they point out is still under extended support until April 2023).
See https://github.com/googlefonts/fontbakery/issues/1845.

[FIXED] Freedom Serifs should be Freeform Serifs?
In Font Creator Pro 12.0.0.2547:
Font => Properties => Characteristics => Font Family Classification => Class, Font Family Class #7 is shown as "Freedom Serifs" and I think it should be "Freeform Serifs".

Re: Font Based Templates
FontCreator ... removes all mappings to the first glyph. Hmmm. While I can appreciate that dropping cmap entries to .notdef reduces complexity for novice users, I personally feel that this removes a degree of control. I did once try to multi-map a PUA code point to .notdef and it "got lost&quo...
