It still needs some work with the align tool to make straight lines truly vertical, horizontal, and truly straight (delete off-curve nodes).

Re: How do you save as .fon and .otf?
I guess the description is a bit ambiguous. This professional font editor allows you to create and edit TrueType and OpenType fonts. You can edit and create Truetype fonts, but you can only edit OpenType fonts. To add OpenType features to a font requires third party software such as VOLT or OpenType...

The user in this thread doesn't seem to be having any problems. Sorry I can't help more, I'm still using Windows XP Home.

Re: How to Contact a Board Administrator While Not Logged In
The User Control Panel is only available if you're logged in as a registered user.
Any more ideas? I logged out, and couldn't find an obvious way to contact an Administrator as recommended in the FAQ.

Re: Font versions
This looks like something to add to MainType . You can currently see the font revision number in the Font Properties, Font Information pane for each selected font, but it is not an option for columns or filters to show for each font in a list. FontView.exe will, of course, show the font version numb...

Re: Copy accented fonts?
For italic and bold is there any special thing to care of? In italic fonts, the acute accents need to be offset more to the right than for regular. This should be taken care of by using Complete Composites. (as I see, in one of the typefaces bold, italic and normal are in the same single .ttf file)...

Re: Font character 'disappears' after hitting 'return'
You can choose Unicode or Symbol when creating a new font. I don't use symbol fonts much as they're limited to 224 characters. I add all of the symbols that I need to my Unicode fonts in the Misc Symbol and Dingbat areas, etc. Symbol fonts won't be spell-checked, won't use word breaks, and won't use...

Re: Font character 'disappears' after hitting 'return'
You could also create it as a symbol font. Then you shouldn't have this problem or hyphenation problems if you use symbols together, e.g. tt could wrap as t-t

Probably Word is replacing “t” with “T” through autocorrect, capitalise first letter of sentence.

Re: Copy accented fonts?
A composite character (accented character) contains no glyph outlines, just references to its composite glyph members. If you edit the composte glyph members, then the composite glyph changes. For example, edit the acute accent and áéíóú will all change. Edit the a, and áàãå will all change. You can...

Re: Help With Mapping Values in V4.5 on Vista
They are actually the same value — 161 is the decimal value while 00A1 is the hexadecimal value. The default setting in Tools, Options, General, is to use hexadecimal notation. I prefer the decimal notation as I have memorised a lot of the decimal codes over the years. Alter + 0161 will type ¡ while...

Delicious Font
You can download this free font from this page Delicious.png I posted the link here as the design concept is an interesting one. The different weights are designed so that applying bold or italic attributes to text does not change the copyfit of text, i.e. it doesn't make the text wrap to another li...
