This is not a bug in the Font Creator Program. It is very easy to confuse your Windows O.S. If a font with the same font name is already installed, Windows font viewer will show this installed version. Note: If another Windows font viewer is still open with this same font, you will get the same prob...

Each platform has its own language items. For each language the Naming fields can be edited in the Naming window. When updating fileds make sure you have selected a Microsoft (Unicode or Symbol) Platform and language English - United States.

Other platform fields should be updated as well.

There is no such feature in the Font Creator Program, but in the next release the Import Image feature will be improved. Right now you could try to enlarge the bitmap before importing it.

The previous instructions are meant to create an anti-aliased font. To create an aliased font:

Select Grayscale from the Format menu. Delete all entries. Now add a new entry and make sure Grayscale rendering is not set.

In Word you could try to save the file as an Encoded Text file. Use a hex viewer to analyse the mappings.

Usually a font has a Unicode mapping scheme. You will find more information about this topic in the Mappings - Character to Glyph Index Mappings section in the help file and manual.

Somehow the downloaded file is corrupted. Maybe there were some problems between the server and your ISP.

Try to download the installation file from the mirror site.

Right now there are no plans to add OpenType support to the Font Creator Program. The Font Creator Program doesn't support OpenType tables but won't remove them, so you could work in parallel with other software like VOLT (Visual OpenType Layout tool) to add OpenType layout tables to fonts with True...

The message indicates an invalid character to glyph mapping. Such an encoding table can't be saved because the specific format does not exist. I guess the font is corrupted, as this format is not available in the TrueType font specification. The Font Creator Program supports all known formats. Can y...

I've put the Glyph-sorting feature on the todo list and gave it a high priority.

Maybe an AutoArrange Glyphs feature that sorts the glyphs based on the Microsoft mappings would help as well.

What is the EXACT version (for example 3.0.0.16) of FCP (see the about box)?

Can you send the font file to me, so I can investigate the problem?
Also could you provide me with a screenshot and a short message that clarifies the problem?
