Thank you for sending the font. This Font Sample Output that you sent me shows the broken lines in the font when output to the DXF file. I opened the DXF file in Serif DrawPlus and exported the letters in PNG format at 600 dpi. I think the most likely reason why your font has gaps in the lines is be...

It is not recommended to edit installed fonts.
Uninstall, edit, save, test, install.
It is straightforward to add accented characters for Turkish using insert characters and complete composites if the font already contains the required accents.

That's the first time I have seen a font like that. The accented glyphs use smaller capital letters than the regular glyphs. That adds a whole new layer of complexity to this task, although you could just select the accented glyphs and do Complete Composites it would spoil the font's design, which i...

You can send me your font when you want, maybe before you spend too much time on it, so that I can give you some tips to save time. Creating Vietnamese fonts is about as hard as it gets with Latin scripts — rather easier than CJK fonts though (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) I imagine. You certainly jump...

See sections 5, 14, and 15, in the PDF Tutorial Using Glyph Transformations You don't need to edit them one by one. Begin by editing the Stacking Diacritics at the end of the font. When you're satisfied that they're the right size and position for Capital E then select the Latin Extended Additional ...

See Unicode versus Symbol in the manual. My fonts are all Unicode fonts, yours is a symbol font.

Re: Ascenders and Descenders
I understand that these are all 'different' things, but why are they by default set at different values. Which one is most important for getting a font to work, and what happens if they are all set to the same value? See Metrics in the manual. They are different measurements used by MAC and Windows...

Look at some existing script fonts to see how the professionals do it. Use the Comparison Toolbar (F11) to see how different letter pairs will look together. Scroll through the font with Alter + Left/Right Cursor. Adjust the right side-bearings to change the advance width of each glyph before trying...

Erwin, your screenshot is the same as my options dialogue, but it is different to the one in the manual and help. IIRC there has been a change in FC5.6 regarding which tables are removed by default. I notice a difference in the horizontal position in the MainType Sample Toolbar between Tahoma Bold a...

Opening and saving the font using FC would strip out the hinting information. Merely resaving won't normally strip out hinting info. Only modifying the glyphs will strip hinting from those glyphs, not from others. Stripping the hinting data would reduce fhe file size by half, not just by 65K. Check...
