Hi PT,
I believe to get a TT-only font, you need to also change the Export drop-down shown in the screen shot to "No."

Re: Adding Composites, remember settings for first member
Looking at the CompositeData.xml file, I am thinking that only comes into play when FC generates the composites. Might be reading it wrong, though. But yes, there are the features in it, like which composite to use the metrics from, which is mainly the only option I set for the base member when manu...

Re: Adding Composites, remember settings for first member
Sorry for being obtuse. I always do composites in the same order. Let's say I am working on the lowercase a characters. I first add the a, open the composite glyph properties by double-clicking on that lowercase a and set the options, then add the diacritic and set any options (mainly position value...

Adding Composites, remember settings for first member
When I make composites, I typically use the exact same settings for each base member. It would be helpful to me if FC would remember those settings during the session for the first added composite member. As is, I add the base member, double-click on the glyph, check the options I want (which as I m...

Re: Paste Special, metric only issue
Yes, I believe so, Erwin. At least I cannot readily think of an instance I want more than lsb/rsb.

Re: Paste Special, metric only issue
Great, thanks Erwin.
I noticed some oddities with the LSB and advance width. Sometimes that info is pasted and sometimes it doesn't appear to do so. But I haven't really been back into FC doing a similar thing since the first post.

[FIXED] Paste Special, metric only issue
If I opt to use Paste Special, with only the paste metrics check box checked, the name is also applied. Also, I don't know if this is by design or not, but if I copy say the letter a, then select all the lowercase a characters with accents, then opt to paste only metrics, only the first selected low...

Re: Vector Contours Changes from Clipboard
Export to eps. Import the eps. Figure out from that import what the scale should be set in FC'S Options to get as close to the size as you need. I do batches of characters in Xara Designer Pro or CorelDraw this way. I use a template in either application for baselines, etc using guidelines. As I com...

Re: Help with removing vertical lines
I've never made such a font, but I do have them. For instance, when I open Eames Century Modern Stencil Cameo, there are 65 funits from the edge of each character to the side bearings, and there is a 5 funit distance the solid portion of the characters go past the side bearings. Though there are oth...

Re: Erasure feature
Make a couple rectangles (or other shape) that spans across the parts you want removed. Select both shapes and use "Get exclusion of contours" command. Delete the extra bits.

Re: Kerning problem
However, unless you have specific permission, that is a copyrighted font. You should be using a font, perhaps one from Google Fonts, FontSquirrel, etc., that has explicit permission to edit and rename--and they usually need a rename.

Re: Kerning problem
As far as I know, Word does not have kerning enabled by default. I clicked the Test font icon. Opened Word and set AVAVA using the font that the test name is set to (look at the title bar in the Test Font window). In Word, your font looks like this because the check box for kerning was not enabled: ...
