Font Design Ideas - Graphology Handwriting Analysis
As with everyone else, my handwriting changes as I get excited, sick, happy, sad . . . What was John Hancock thinking when he wrote his name so boldly long ago? Do people who think highly of themselves tend to write in huge swoops while lesser mortals crimp in small script? AnalysisM.jpg Mind/hand i...

Re: Drag & Drop Samples
Possibly. I've never tried that method. Changing samples works fast and allows a visual of what you will get on the fly.

Re: Drag & Drop Samples
I almost never use the samples toolbar, and I wonder how you use it to build fonts. Many free fonts consist only of upper case letters. You have lots of choices to complete it. 1. Capacity Report
From release date until now I have been using MainType 5.1 with around 25,000 of my favorite fonts and all has worked well. Dare I really test it's capacity? Last week I dared. I turned it loose on one of my collection folders with 175,000 fonts, some dups. It ran for 9 hours! MainType5.1-1.JPG I no...

Introduction to FontCreator V7-10
Modern fonts have to serve three masters, the printed page, the computer screen, and the world wide web. For the new version (10), I advise watching this video: https://vimeo.com/172231158 There is a LOT of information there so I advise stopping it and thinking, perhaps experimenting as you follow a...

The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe: Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary, Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my . . . awareness. I can't read this stuff!...

A treasure I just gleaned from the above is Ihlenburg(1884).ttf in Fonto Fonts. Ihlenburg(1884).jpg I hadn't seen this style before. The font needs some numbers in my opinion, but I love the way the period works! Note the fancy surrounding period at the end of the name and just before ttf at the top...
