Re: Moving fonts back in from Illustrator
They won’t be out of alignment with version 11. Just make sure you have set your import vector settings correctly. I think there's a miscommunication. If Illustrator doesn't store bearing, x-height, or cap height data, how could the Import Vector tool possibly load a vector into the same place insi...

Re: Moving fonts back in from Illustrator
First of all, make sure you are running FontCreator 11. Design your font as an OpenType font with CFF based outlines, as those use cubic curves which are also what is used in most vector drawing software. To copy and paste back and forth to and from most vector editing software without conversion t...

Moving fonts back in from Illustrator
Hi everyone I have been using Illustrator to achieve text effects that aren't available through the Glyph Transformer (for example, Roughen). I have been finding it very challenging to move fonts in and out of Illustrator without losing characters / bearings / character position, while matching heig...

Re: Seeking a Shadow Script
I don't think it can be done. There is no function to copy existing glyph contours using a transform script. Copy the glyph in the glyph edit window Move the glyph and increase the right side-bearing by running a transform script Paste the original contours Select all Get Exclusion of contours Shad...

Seeking a Shadow Script
You could also do this with Glyph Transform Wizard. In the glyph edit window, copy your glyph as before, then Tools, Glyph Transformer: Outlines, Move 200,100 and Metrics Width increase 200 (right side). Then paste the copy of the glyph back into the original place. This doesn't work for me on a mu...

Addendum to increase value / functionality:
Option to exclude .ttf from the font pack and css file. This is for people that sell webfonts and standard user licenses separately.

Re: Add Italic (Oblique) and Bold to Preview
If I remember rightly the Windows dialogue used for the Font Test window doesn't support the italic cursor. The work around in this thread will also solve this problem. Exactly. We have posted this in the Enhancement Requests forum as a result. Workaround is working fine. Would need to see more of ...

My thought process for "useful" improvements is more along the lines of "reasons I haven't upgraded to FC 9.0 Professional"PJMiller wrote:If this were possible I would find it useful.

Re: Preview Typo Line Gap / Line Gap
IMy current methodology involves exporting the font, reviewing it in the Windows Font Install window, and testing it in Microsoft Word. An easier method is to use the Test Font Window, then preview it in Word (or whatever) with the temporary font generated by the Font Test Window. How do you get th...

× Export full @font-face Webfont pack
Currently uploading exported .ttf files to this site:
https://everythingfonts.com/font-face
The process creates a zip file with the ttf, eot, woff, and svg files, as well as a css file.
Looking for FontCreator to do the same.

Preview Typo Line Gap / Line Gap
I would like to be able to preview the Typo Line Gap and Line Gap metrics in one of the font test / preview windows. The Typo Line Gap and Line Gap numbers have no effect on how the font is displayed in F8 Preview, F5 Test OTF/TTF, or Ctrl+F5 Test WOFF. My current methodology involves exporting the ...

Re: Export selected glyph names
There is a need. In order to get a list of glyphs, I export the font from FontCreator, import it into FontForge, and use the "Save Namelist of Font" feature to generate a .nam file. FontForge is free so I use it to supplement the functions I can't do with FontCreator. The namelist file inc...
